I've been toying with eveelution flareon, vapereon and drudd. Having fire and water energy is so good for drudd and I've toyed with omastar since fossil not interrupting your starting hand works for this deck. Not meta but really fun, flareon destroys celeby and vapereon does well into blaine. I've been playing it with normal aricuno and having the most success. Drudd with no ex so all 3 prizes are split between drudd, flareon and articuno with paralyse steals wins.

I also tried this a few days ago. It was fun but it has the same problem with every fossil deck. Fossils aren't searchable. The other problem is Omastar is a stage 2 evolution as well so it can take some time to get online. Stalling with Drudd also let's opponents set up their strong Pokémon. Sometimes more than one so even if they can't attack because of Omastar, they can just retreat and OK

I've tried this deck quite a few times with slight variations. Here's my experience: You NEED to pull at least 1 fossil, 1 Omanyte, amd 1 MI Eevee. Start with Eevee, 1 energy to it, attack when able. If you have misty, start building on Omanyte turn 2. Hopefully you get Omastar turn 3, if you get Vaporeon you can evolve for the stall or keep attacking with Eevee depending on how your opponent is doing. Keep building on Omanyte until Omastar is setup. Swap in and try to keep Omastar attacking for the ability to trigger. Thats about it really. Now, this deck looks GREAT in theory crafting. Unfortunately...its pretty mediocre. The ability from Omastar to stop attacks is nice, but since it is treated as a status effect your opponent can just swap into a setup benched pokemon and continue putting on the hurt. Omastar has realitively low HP for a stage 2, so it isnt that hard for your opponent to just treat their active as a stall while building their bench to get rid of Omastar. You could swap in Greninja, but in my matches with Greninja/Omastar, my damage output couldn't keep up with Pikachu EX/Mewtwo/Celebi/Pigeot Ex and a few others. Again, in theory this is great. But until we can pull fossils faster and have a decent support water pokemon like Serperior or an ability to boost damage, its unfortunately not consistent or strong enough to be reliable. IMO

I've been using an omastar deck for awhile but I added greninja for bench damage. The original vaporeon works as well. The one that heals every attack if you can get misty to flip in your favor. I may mess with the deck now after watching your vid. Thanks for the tips

Gary has been my favorite since the ex came with the new set. I was running celebi but got sick of the coin flips. Too often flipping 8-10 coins and getting 1 heads and losing. Watched the video you made about Gary/ninja/drudd and set it up and ran that for the remainder of the event. Used it in a battle against someone who streams and got an early misty win. Lol actually double Misty just for fun and hit both times. 2 energy from the 1st 2nd landing for 4 haha.

I mean it could work, but dang having 2 stage 2 lines, that both have no early game presence is crazy. You'd need to put 2 Druddigon to stall, then put 2 of each stage (12 slots) leaving only 6 spots for trainers, 2 proffesors 2 pokeballs and 2 erikas. No Sabrina no giovanni no potions no x speed no leaf etc. Unless you gamble and put just 1 of each serperior line

Well you could use 1x Bulba and 1x Snivy only and put 2 more trainers inside but that's really gambling 😅 you would definitely want Leaf for retreating Druggidon

The balance they need for Misty is where you can’t use it your first playable turn. Fully powering something like an Articuno your first turn is a game ender before it starts and that’s not really fair or balanced.

Bruh the chance of drawing an Articuno and a misty on your first turn is 14% and the chance of landing 2 heads with misty is 25%. The odds of having a fully powered Articuno on turn 1 is 3.5%

​@@stephenzajonc4766then you just got lucky those times. This game is obviously highly dependent on luck and coin flips. I've seen people flip 8 heads in a row on Celebi and do 300 damage. I've also seen people flip 0 out of 8 heads and do 0 damage. That's just the name of the game.
