Played this a few days ago. It's aight. It doesn't have problems. It's just kinda balanced. Only 120 hp, only 2 mons, only 80 damage, takes two energy. It's constant and strong, but not broken like most of the meta decks. Articuno Ex was broken because of Sabrina. It has the advantage of doing the same amount of damage for only 2 energy, but you can't get that turn 1. Still pretty fun though

Magnazone and Skarmory is a pretty good deck I've been playing around with. Having 2 Rocky helmets and 2 capes your chances of having a tool are pretty good. Basically got the idea from the Magnazone part of the darkrai deck and the Skarmory strat from your bastidon deck. Basically combination of past strats into 1. The rest of the deck is pretty much research Pokeball x speed Ciris Giovanni ( for a possible fast kill with Skarmory with tool) for a pokemon with 60 hp or below

this deck surprised me. built it and i’m 10-0 so far, lots of rage quits, a few close battles but this is the most effortless consistent deck i’ve ever used 😂😂😂

I have been unlucky and only have 1 Darkrai Ex, but Fortunately, Gyarados/Greninja is still a Viable deck. The only match-up i found hyper difficult was Palkia because it's just inherently faster than Gyarados Greninja. I only lost a couple times against magnezone/darkrai when either Magikarp or Gyarados was buried in the bottom of the deck or Greninja didn’t come together.

I have the most fun with Darkrai + Weezing because it can get rid of Druddigon without even touching it (or in 2 turns with only 1 touch). My issue is that Weezings stupid 3 retreat cost always makes me lose because you can't Koga AND use Cyrus/Sabrina/Dawn on the same turn. If Darkrai takes any damage it just becomes Cyrus fodder later and you can't get Weezing out fast enough. Honestly I freaking hate Cyrus; you literally have no chance of winning any games if your whole deck isn't carefully crafted to defend against or take advantage of Cyrus and Sabrina.

I’ve been playing this with 1 pachirisu and 1 Zapdos sometimes the zapdos lead works out better or you can include x speed and dawn for a pivot after 2 or 3 turns if you need to. Also double red card to tilt the opposition 😈

Is Mars better than red card? I feel like red card would be good at disrupting the early game but maybe Mars can get rid of some leafs and x-speeds and potions to win late game.

You need a full lightning type bench for pikachu to work so it doesn’t work like pachirisu. Not guaranteed the pika every first draw

If pachirisu dies then spiritomb loses you the game, so it's better to not have any non-Ex pokemon in your deck

Means it doesn’t evolve into anything/ 1st evolution

Basic means the first evolution, basically like the form that comes before anything else. For example Eevee is a basic because its the first evolution of you know, all the Eeveelutions. For a legendary pokemon like Palkia, its a basic because its the first form (and only) but its also an EX because its legendary. Its kinda weird but once you start to realize everything it all comes together and makes sense. I hope I explained this well enough for you to understand because I used to be confused as well.

Basic are just first evolution of any Pokémon, ex are just “exclusive” cards that have generally more HP and mostly better and stronger attacks than their normal counterparts. It’s says on the top corner whether it’s basic or Stage 1/2 even if it’s an EX card. Stage 1-2 being the evolution forms of respective Pokémon.
