I see it as Etsy being the training wheels on the bike opening your own shop being the next step your chucking off those training wheels and going full speed good luck Paige 👏👏👏😁

These are so cute! If you choose to make your own tote bags in the future, (recycled jeans, corduroy!), it will be easier. You can sew on the decorations before putting the tote together. Then iron and stitch together.

Maybe pinking shears for the thready edges; see if you like that look. I have been sewing for many years. You have great ideas.

I’ve had a couple of Etsy shops for several years. I’m at a similar place as you in that Etsy fees have gotten so high and I start to wonder if it’s worth it, but, what is your best advice when it comes to marketing to be “seen” if you go out on your own? I don’t seem to get much response from my IG site, etc. Any big ideas that would help me branch out? Your products are really cute and you seem very knowledgeable about creating traffic!

Good Luck with Etsy. I have been trying to close my store for over a year. They don't reas their emails. But I am looking forward to seeing your new adventures.

The totes are totes cuteee. I did want to suggest loosening the tension on your sewing machine to maybe make that canvas go through easier. I’ve never sewn canvas, but have read that that’s the trick to it. Congratulations on your new shop😊

congrats!!! just a thought: i would try using that heat n bond stuff for the premade bags..you can sew over it if you still like that look..and it would probably prevent the stray threads

LOVE the capelets! I've been considering doing similar items myself; I have a domain, a partial website, and a logo (my partner is a professional graphic designer), so you are really inspiring me to get my butt in gear and open it up, already! 💗💗💗

You should totally look into using wonder-under interfacing so that you can iron the patches into place and then sew on top of them ❤

Oh and also try pinking shears to cut the fabric so you won’t have as many fly away threads

Use wonder under or some other bonding material to get your patches to stay in place while stitch them to your bags

There is an iron on double sided adhesive that you can use to iron on the patches.so you can tack them down and then sewing the edges would be much easier and you wouldnt have the issue with them bunching. Plus it will prevent the fraying as well.

Congrats on the changes, and I love the new name!!! One thing you might find interesting, even though it’s focused on game design, is a GDC (game developer’s conference) talk that’s here on KZbin on why you should put your name on your game, and where the trend of individuals putting themselves behind a company came from, at least in the game design industry. I think you’ll find it interesting!! kzbin.info/www/bejne/hGW4d3Zmrpanj5Isi=C4fEl0rNmEmxkflo
