Just discovered the thermal stitch for a non-stretch strap, for bags or tops! It is basically just crochet through the back loop, and then the next row, crochet through the back loop whilst grabbing the loop you left from the previous row, continue until it is the length you want, then crochet as normal while grabbing that last row loop, and done! Legit does not stretch and is sooo easy!

Thanks so much for this! There's so many things I'm making at the moment that need straps and I've been looking for the right one that didn't stretch for things like water bottle holders, doorknob organisers etc, so this is so helpful!! Does it work using any stitch or only certain specific ones?

You should make a video on 25-50 doilies (doily) you can make! (There are also skull doilies...) and you don't HAVE to use thin yarn on them! I'm currently making a doily carpet with colored jute yarn (3.5mm hook)

Hey, just wanna say I got inspired by that dress too, and fairy skirts with the folds, so I tried making a skirt version but it becomes this buffy clown neck style thing. I'll keep at it tho. I haven't gotten the patten but I still feel your pain, I try free handing most of the stuff I make and sometimes it can be a pain, let us know if you ever make it

I just made my first bag with zipper! Its a little difficult but not too bad, i got a 1.3mm hook and sewing thread and just stabbed the zipper where i wanted the holes as i crocheted, then i did another row with my matching yarn. I got the all purpose zipper from joann and its pretty cute and the zipper is pretty sturdy.

If you hate regular crochet colorwork because of the back-and-forth color management, I finally got brave enough to try colorwork with tunisian crochet, and it's addictive!!!!! Since you're always looking at the front of the fabric as you go back and forth, you can always keep the color floats on the back

For the crochet bad with zippers: It's really easy if you use fabric glue instead of sewing through the zipper! I was intimidated by it because I can't sew, but it was super easy with glue! I hope you get around to trying it

Not sure if this would be any use to you, but if you're still thinking of making the dress it looks slightly similar to the dress the creator ikoxun made in her purple witchy video and she's fairly thorough in explaining how she went about constructing it, so you could probably use that video as a baseline and modify to look closer to this other dress you're trying to make.

For the bag with the zipper: you could sew an embroidery chain stich on both sides of the zipper and that looks very similar to a crochet stich so you can easily crochet it into your bag :) (I hope it makes sense :'))
