The hyperfixations are very relatable lol. I mainly switch between my different hobbies (crochet/knitting, reading, writing, studying, working out) and have these phases where I do nothing else besides the fixated hobby for hours on end, without realizing that I need to eat, go to the toilet and sleep. I too have been like that since I was a child. Ever since I got diagnosed last year I know that it is part of my auDHD and since then I’ve gotten a lot better at navigating these phases. I still do like them a lot, because they reflect that I’m passionate, but I sometimes crave for more stability in my activities…

You ARE a true artist ❤. I wish you wouldn´t doubt yourself. I have watched several of your vlogs, and I really love the majority of your pieces, both the design and the color choices that you do. So just keep up the good work, and KNOW that WE who watch you are really impressed by your work. I am inspired to make similar things for my own vlogs, and YOU are one of my inspirations. Please don´t think lesser of yourself ❤

I understand about how you feel about your art. I used to feel the same way. I've loved fiber arts my whole life. I got a degree in education because I needed to make some money. Then I got a degree in fiber arts. I started wi weaving and now I'm slow stitching and everything else in between. I'm retired from teaching but still doing art I'm 73. I love your art , don't worry just keep on doing... lovely work.

As a fellow hyperfixator, being a jack of all trades is something else… punch needling is super fun! The possibilities are endless from rugs to bags to mug rugs to slippers!!! Hope ya get to try it out eventually :D

Love this video! I'm very similar- summer is my least favorite season, because I don't like the humidity, bugs, and sunburns, and various other things... I do try to embrace it of course and I don't hate it, but I definitely experience more joy during the other seasons lol The fixating on new and different hobbies is very relatable- I have always been like that and wouldn't have it any other way! It keeps life full of adventures, excitement, and always gives you something to look forward to! 😊

With regards to the second channel- if you haven't posted there yet, here's some feedback!... This channel in itself to me feels like a place where I get togo visit a friend I haven't seen in a few weeks, sit with them to do some crochet, and they show me in detail the progress they made on their own crochet projects... in between showing me their crochet, they also tell me about various things they've been up to since we've last seen each other: "I read this book, I watched this show, I started this new workout routine, I'm brushing up on my conversational Japanese" etc. And when I hang out with a friend in real life, they might tell me about a restaurant they tried, a comic book they read, a new movie that's coming out soon, etc. Whether I would actually do any of those things or not, I'm happy to listen because these are the things that make my friend happy, which makes me happy to hear they are experiencing joy from these things 😊 If that makes any sense at all, I would encourage you to simply continue to casually share these things during cutaway shots as you've always done. They don't bother me, or likely anyone else who is here to hang out on this channel. Keeping the vibe positive, interactive, and as a place to wind down and relax is so unique in itself. I enjoy other fiber arts content, but I certainly don't experience those things on other channels! Unless you really want to deep dive into another genre or subject matter altogether, keeping your content in one place will prevent splitting your attention, workload, time, and even your audiences... and reduce the risk of burnout. Hope this helps! Fawn 😊

I call those thoughts “Artist insecurities”. Every single artist of any medium and craft has them. They are different for everyone, but we all feel like we are faking being an artist or aren’t good enough. And it’s up to us as the artist to combat those insecurities ❤❤❤

I love the amigurumi focused youtubers as well but you're a breath of fresh air amongst yarntubers for focusing more on wearables which I'm personally more interested in at this moment on my crochet/knitting journey :). I also love that you use more interesting yarn than the usual chenille/acrylic/sugar and cream I see on YT. I would 100% buy a pattern book from you, especially if it had both crochet and knitting patterns!

I am by no means an expert on publishing books and I don't know how other crochet artists do it, but I do know self publishing is an option. I did it once a long time ago for a book I wrote. If I recall correctly, you have to purchase an ISBN and then you find a publisher (there are a few online) and pay them to publish and print your book for you. I'm not sure if this is how other people do it, but maybe it will give you a starting point

I dont know much about publishing but i did publish a book through Amazon Direct Publishing. It allows the creator to upload a pdf of the book and it is print by order so you dont have to deal with storing your stock. You will also need an ISBN! Hope this helps xx

I am so interested in learning more fiber arts myself, I have been hyperfixating on handspinning yarn. Its a whole rabbit hole if its own, but has been so interesting and feels like magic when can pull some fluff into yarn, like pulling yarn out of thin air. Drop spindles are very affordable and I think easy to learn on. Jillian eve on KZbin have great tutorials for drop spindle spinning if you ever want to try.

I really just wanna say thank you! This is my first time ever coming across your channel, and you actually inspire me to take pride in the things I love. I've been crocheting for 9 years, and I was made fun of a lot when I was in elementary all the way up til highschool for it. So I normally kept it a secret, until one day out the blue it became a trend.😭😭 I'm still in the process of making products for my market along with growing my own community. Do you have any tips?
@ikoxun5 ай бұрын
oh no! I really hate it when people make fun of others for enjoying what they enjoy. I'm so sorry you were made fun of because of it :((( I personally haven't done a market before ! But in terms of growing a community, I would say to just continue to post about your WIPs and completed projects and connect with others in the community (following them , interacting with their content, etc). and hopefully it'll grow :)
