Its not an instructional video, he doesn't instruct you on how to set anything up. Its just a demonstration video... "this pedal can do this, this pedal can do that"... more of a marketing video to go out and buy all this gear than anything that actually instructed me on how to do anything at all. Except maybe feel even worse being poor and totally not able to buy any of this stuff. -- This is a rich man's way to play for God... what does someone with 45 years experience do for Jesus these days? It certainly won't be this. I live on $783/mo. income and will for the rest of my life. That's how it is being disabled.

@@jamhandy7325 man, that's how you've set up ur mind. Wake up, renew your mind. That's not what God has planned for your life. He wants the best, He already gave you that, make a way to claim it. Stop feeling sorry for yourself. Godbless you man

I was completely lost 5 minutes in. I'm 58, I've played guitar fr 45 years... Plus I'm looking at something like you're using $10,000 worth of gear or something (definitely a lot of money in the pictures...)... when God makes me a millionaire with tons and tons of disposable cash I might be able to afford all this stuff. I'd like to play in church but guitar playing suddenly got very technology-related somewhere in time and I totally missed it... I consider starting from scratch and learning all this techno babble stuff would take me considerably longer than it did for me to learn how to play an F barre chord. Most likely if I have to become some kind of guitar techno Geek, it'll be about 4-5 years before I could use all this equipment that I can't possibly afford to buy anyways. -- I'm just old school... guitar... pedalboard... using a GFI Cabzeus to front of house... not really all that technical... I have no idea what MIDI does. I've never needed MIDI until I came to church and everybody is talking about MIDI. I understand the concept but there are no classes to take ot viudeos to watch that go step by step on plugging it in and setting it up. Just a lot of "this pedal can do this" videos. Most likely if this is what it takes to play in church I'll never play in church. There is no where to learn this stuff, nothing available to dumb it all down and tell me "turn this knob, push this switch and get this sound. Everything out there is "this gear can do this, this gear can do that" but nothing that shows you how to get there... even the instruction manuals are more just marketing material... My last waste of money was a BOSS RV-500. Total yuck presets right out of the box, and the only way to get anywhere was to sit down with the War and Peace sized manual, and then no "do this, do that" but rather "this pedal can do this" marketing stuff. BLAH... wasted a good $350 on that piece of junk... Dumped it off at Sam Ash with the box and sold it wholesale just to get rid of it. I bought a very easy to use and better device, the Source Audio Ventris reverb... totally inspiring right out of the box and if I ever figure out how to use a computer and a pedal at the same time, evidently with their Neuro editing software, you can go as deep as you want. There is just too much technology being used by younger players that don't really have the mileage or the chops. I guess if I were talent-less and 25 again and maybe born with a smart phone attached to my head and got an Apple-anything for my first birthday..., I'd sound real impressive with all this technology hiding my lack of ability. I paid thousands of dollars in lessons and learning while studying music, I do classic rock, blues and straight head jazz, and none of that is seemingly useful in church. As an old guy, its not a good day to have abilities galore and want to use them for God. Its like all that time I spent learning how to play the instrument means nothing now that technology hides lack of ability... wow... Disabled, on fixed income... no way I could ever afford $10,000 worth of gear just to play for God... ridiculous.

so are you playing through a midi pedal with no hex pup and the teleport allows this?
@neiljohnmiguel34134 жыл бұрын
Hi! In this demo, Are you actually using the omec teleport as your audio interface to record your guitar and your rig to your DAW? Or you are also using other audio interface to record your guitar audio aside from the Omec teleport? Thanks!

Is the line 6 powercab work well with just pedals? Thanks love videos
@WorshipMusicianMag6 жыл бұрын
Hey Ken - thanks for your kind words - appreciated. GREAT question - about to start work on a new Powercab video and will do a bit of testing and circle back on this. In the mean time, I'll say this, the Powercabs are designed to function as a guitar speaker, powered by clean power, which is to say there is no preamp in the mix, and a key part of what pedals do is interact wth the preamp section of an amp. But, in addition the various amp modeling multi effects units out there, there are a number of 'amp in the box' pedals on the market like the Boss Deluxe Reverb or the Bogner Ecstasy which depending on how much gain you use respectively will allow the entire signal chain to function 'like' an amp. Like I said, that is a great question that needs to be properly explored to properly answer. Cheers ~ Doug // [WM]

@@WorshipMusicianMag Hi!!!, in that case I could connect this new pedal that will be released on the market called SIMPLIFIER, which has three pre-amplifiers in the pedal??? Because the Powercab has poweramp??

Hey Mike - THANKS! With the disclaimer that I'm an iOS guy... www.ikmultimedia.com/products/cat-view.php?C=mobile-android-apps - is one place Id suggest starting and seeing what the ratings are for the various things you'd want to use from them. Unfortunately Positive Grid does not have any Android offerings. The Teleport comes bundled with IK's AmpliTube CS Orange Edition which I believe includes a code for Android! Cheers ~ Doug // [WM]
