BB Chrono has it for me in this case. They made a good and new looking watch taking great elements of the past with it's own identity, crisis it's in our minds haha. The snowflake maybe a disadvantage cause makes the chrono function harder to read sometimes, but overall it's a better watch. It's a water resistant racing piece. Will be appreciated in the future, like all the good things. Great vid Tim!

I have a Tudor Black Bay Chrono. Granted it is just recently been replaced by the new version which has a fancy bezel, a red tipped chronograph second hand and panda dials. Yet I find this watch to be extremely classy much more so than the Omega chronograph. And, I find this watch can be worn as an every day go to work in your suit or casual attire watch with the Oyster bracelet where as I find the Omega to be more of a casual dive watch (like a Tag/Heuer Aquracer, albeit not a as accurate or having a column wheel movement). I have found this Tudor Black Bay chrono to be an extremely accurate movement. It has proven to be accurate to 2 seconds per week which is much more accurate than would be expected for a Tudor COSC movement and possibly even more than a Rolex. It also has a column wheel movement. In light of the new released version, I picked up my Tudor Black Bay Chrono for a sizable discount. I have no regret here by buying the Tudor!

Omega for sure. I've sold both of these watches at different dealers and you could never get the Tudor out of the cabinet, while this particular Seamaster really sings to people. Upgrade to the PUSH clasp taken from the Speedmaster Mark II and you're laughing

With the fixed tachymeter bezel and thin hands, that Tudor Black Bay chronograph is most likely competing with various Omega Speedmaster models, rather than with the massive, rotating-dive-bezel Seamaster.

Very difficult for me to rate a lateral system over a chrono with vertical clutch. Very difficult. Micro adjust holes in the Tudor clasp are more useful than the dive extension in the Omega. However as another mentioned, there is possible Omega clasp upgrade to one with slider micro adjust. This Tudor looks more elegant, refined, versatile. More historically enduring and iconic or not, I think this bulbous Omega chronograph is an eyesore, to be honest.

If the BB had a divers bezel then it would be a slightly closer contest. As it is the SMP easily beats the confused BB which doesn’t know what its trying to be! A better contest would be the BB up against the Omega Speedy - which the Speedy would easily win too!

something to mention , the omega dont have jumping minutes , the tudor yes , is a breitling movement , I think the tudor movement from breitling is a better muvement !!!! and another thing , the tudor dont having a rotating bezel and that make it more versatle , you can put it on a leather strap for daily use for dont scrach the bracelet , if you put the omega in a leather strap is not going to work really nice , diver on leather is not nice !!

I absolutely love Tudor especially the snowflake hands however the SM w flowing sculpted case and high contrasting indices, ink well deep dial tone - pop of red. Wow. Thanks Tim - both pieces are beautiful but of different flavors .

The Tudor is the more stylish, modern looking watch. The lighting here is not good, seemingly overexposed and diffuse. Are you guys using a new setup? If so, it needs tweaking. Cold white LEDs (if used here) are not complementary to the products you’re displaying here...it ‘s quite bad, really!

I have the Black Bay Chrono and I'm looking to get the 44 mm variant of the SMP chronograph before Omega phases it out. I'm having second thoughts though. As much as I love the SMP chronograph's design, I can't shake this feeling that I should get the Planet Ocean chronograph instead. P.S. Please fix your studio setup. This piss poor lighting isn't doing any favors to the nice watches being featured. It makes them look absolutely dull. I can produce a nicer looking video with just my Note 9 and V20 with a half-assed lighting setup. Won't even need to color grade it to look better.

I am choosing the Omega over the Tudor because the Omega is more beautiful, a bigger brand and more glamorous because associated with the James bond movie. I like the Omega engraved back and the beautiful dial. I like the Omega modern tech like the silicon hairspring and coaxial escapement.

Black Bay seems to be more reliable for under water use in my opinion. Why ? The Omegas have a not good reputation as watertight watches. Speedy and Flightmaster had issues with water compared to any of the Oyster cases.

Pedro. Omegas do not have a good reputation as watertight watches???? By what measure??? You do know, of course, that neither the Speedmaster nor Flightmaster were diving watches!!!!!! What about the Seamaster 300m? Or the Planet Ocean 600m? Or the Ploprof 1200m?? Furthermore, there is no such thing as 'watertightness' in relation to watches. Water resistance is the terminology - the word 'resistance' gives it away. I have come to the conclusion that you have no idea what you are talking about and therefore shouldn't be expressing an opinion in this respect.

I think you nailed it, Ian. Comparing a Flightmaster or Speedmaster pilot's watch from 40 years ago to a modern screw-down crown Tudor sports watch isn't realistic. I wore my Seamaster Diver 300M through a month of Navy survival-swim instruction plus 3rd and 2nd class swim tests with no issues. Plenty of people historically and recently have used Omega dive watches with zero concerns about water intrusion. Best, Tim

As you descend every several meters or so, you need to pause and allow your body to compress. This takes 60 seconds, so there's one reason. I find the combo more useful for cooking ;)
