Ive been wearing the blue version for about 6mths now. I absolutely love it. The stainless steel bezel gives it a classy look. Sporty and dressy.

Beautiful watch. This will certainly tickle the speedster purists out there that insist on a manual wind movement, especially those that complained about the thickness of the 9300 movement, and the noisy rotor of the automatic works.

This is the Speedy I want, maybe in the black dial it’s such a gorgeous watch and that movement is sublime.

I have been eyeballing the speedy 57 for a while now. will probably be my next purchase, hopefully from Brad at Brent Miller.

I have a 1863 Speedy and love it. This '57' is simply great to see in this colourway, A newer take on a modern Speedy if you like. Manual wind is perfect for me, a bi compax dial might be divisive for some but I'm OK with it, it's the same as the SMP300 Chronograph that I have no issues with but not automatic wind. This is a watch I'll happily have a look at when I'm at the AD. The date at six is done well but I'd be just OK without it.

I think a 3 register looks a little more balanced, but I like how the right counter has both hands so you don't lose elapsed hours

@@AlSiguenza I don’t subject it to much water, but it seems very durable / accurate, and overall it’s not a diva of a watch. I own many excellent watches, and this is among my faves.

I visited the Omega museum yesterday at the Swatch HQ in Zurich. Had expensive exhibits but I felt it lacked feeling. They just let you roam in the space which felt sterile. The Longines museum was so much more meaningful an experience.

Really love the '57 and would love to own one too, but it's just a tad pricey and maybe a tad too big for me. I think with the short lugs it would be fine though. Hopefully I can try it on some day.

It would really be nice to see the 'incredible movement'. This recent trend of almost completely covering the movement with a plate, is the equivalent of covering a painting with a tarp > really, really bad.

They made a huge mistake making this a manual wind watch. Few will not buy a watch because it's automatic. But many will not buy a watch because it's manual.
