OFF is a game created by Mortis Ghost and Unproductive Fun Time, using the RPG Maker 2003 software.
And that's it.
The other two endings will be uploaded tomorrow, both are practically the same with a minor difference.

The creator of the game has said that the Batter himself did not change, but the way you viewed him did. Instead of him being innocent, on a mission to purify the world, you finally realized he was a monster out to destroy it. And thats why your view of him changed. The Judge, on the other hand, is not a monster at all, and your view of him had no reason to be altered. You're just seeing him the way he really is, or the way his actions make him seem to be, depending on what you think.

This is the first ending I had. I chose the Batter and now that I think about it was for a quite ironic reason. I just thought that I should finish what I've started. That since this is the "official ending", this is the way it's supposed to be. And then I saw the Batter's quote: "Escaping from your purpose is impossible." Ultimately the Batter became the puppeteer, and I've become the puppet.

3:48 is actually a mistranslation. It’s supposed to say “I will not allow you to lay a hand on the son who brought US into the world.” The error was fixed in later versions tho

I assumed that Hugo is the son of Vader Eloha and The Batter, as Dedan said something like "your mother will be back soon when she found a place for all of us to settle in". But that would still be accurate if Hugo, probably an orphaned boy who survived the apocalypse preceeding the game, wishing for parents so desperatly that they really manifest. Then Queen and Batter each headed out to look for lands to rebuild. And while Qween was successfull, Batter found the Nothingness that turned him against his own family. I really like that Mortis encourages people to build their own interpretation of the character's connections

The reason The Judge stayed the same if you chose The Batter's side is because your perspective of him stays constant, regardless of whether you agree with him or not. But if you chose to save what remains of the vacant world with The Judge, The Batter's transformation symbolizes that you do agree with him, that the Batter has gone too far.

It also may be because the Judge hallucinates. In Zone 0 he mentions that he can't tell what real and what isn't. Now that you're on his side, you see things his way.

@@chaosinc.382 well if there is a defense for that, there is actually, not the best one but better than nothing, remember that his mission is to purify the world, because it was so rotten that it was killing itself, and it was better for it to rest than live in pain for the rest of time.

No it was the fact that The Judge NEVER changed that proved to me that you saw the clearest when you were with The Batter. You perception only changes if you view The Batter as bad. That's all. Also it's not certain if you kill Valerie as Valerie is already either possessed or dead by the time you even arrive at Zone 2. All that seemed to be left was his body that Japhet was using. Also during the Japhet battle, The Judge acts sad saying his name as if he is already dead too.

Well, that's cuz Sugar is a Secret Hidden Boss while the Queen is just a regular Final Boss. Secret Bosses are usually known to be stronger than the Final Boss.

I have never played or even seen OFF but why in the world was my first interpretation of this: Batter is actually an adult version of Hugo who was so bitter from being left alone for so long that he travelled back in time to destroy the world, the queen who built it, and younger him????

That actually makes sense. The only problem is that the batter is clearly revealed to be the father of hugo. But who knows? Maybe the same way that the guardians saw hugo instead of the batter while going through the 5 chapter of “the room”, queen saw his husband instead of his grown up son.

It was confirmed by Mortis Ghost that all the Elsen were male and couldn’t reproduce, so they were doomed to extinction anyway. He might’ve been doing them a favor. Plus it did look like a crappy world to live in.

Look up a game called Everhood, basically all of the characters are immortals who have been living for eons (aka a very very very long time) who all went insane from being unable to die. The main character kills them but they are vengeful as a result (saying things like "who gave you the right to kill us?" And such) but it ends in everyone being thankful in the afterlife as they move on.

That does make sense. They did pull of the perspective very well. I just found it weird he would change so drastically and suddenly. Especially since if you chose The Batter's side, he and you would still view the Judge as who he is. Leading me to believe that The Batter is the one who sees everything the clearest. Still I would have enjoyed fighting with The Judge against the Human-like Batter and his 3 add-ons.

I enjoyed playing by The Judge's side but I hated how the game instantly changed The Batter into a crazy monster looking thing who didn't even have his add-ons anymore. When you scan him it says they are there but apart from that I do not see them. Besides that, I don't know why he had to become like that. He doesn't look like that when you play as him at any time at all. If you chose The Batter's side, The Judge still stays a cat. A powerful one, but still a cat. Not some demon specter.

When you set the switch to OFF, the game ends, but selecting Do nothing will just close the dialogue window and nothing is different.

dude, PLEASE SOMEONE ROAST ME AND BURN ME FOR THIS but the reason i actually played OFF was because of the animation of sans vs the judge, then i asked a friend why is he called the judge?, and he said that his fight was similar to the sans fight, and i got hyped and literally spent the hole day playing off, literally leraning the lore, ALL THAT because i wanted to fight a fricking talking cat, pathetic is it not?, at least i helped the dev whit buying it.
