Parker Nix judging by the lyrics, this song is most likely about a girl in high school, about to graduate (our time hanging out with everyone is running short) making a plan with her friend to say she's been or is in a relationship or in her words "Updating My Love List?" before the school year ends (or because she's lonely) The perspective changes to her talking a boy she likes saying that they'll pretend they're in a relationship and get even a little sentimental if he wanted to do so. I'm not sure where the discovering a boy's "weak point" fits into this but hopefully it helped. Sorry for the text wall too haha.
