I also like to dissolve the legs, so at least there is 2 of us. Nice video, I have got to asking yet, just stock piles, but I’m starting soon, so great timing

Hi, thank you for these amazing videos. My question is whether this work has good economic feasibility or a good financial benefit

Good to do on the side of you're into scrapping and have access to lots of electronics. The only people making money off this are those who do massive quantities IMHO

I would suggest a good gold pan and some technique might help with your gravity separation with the bonus of using less fresh water.

Clever guy! Really enjoy your explanation of the science involved in your simple adaptations of everyday objects. Doyou turn the heat down by throttling the gas cylinder valve?

I have a regulator on the propane tank. I didn't show it, and a lot of other details, to keep the video from getting too long. The regulator allows for fine adjustment of the flame.

Here's a tip for ya, when using water to clean it, use a large barrel with jetdry in it, it will stop almost all the fines from floating, and use a recirculating pump to continually reuse (recirculate) the water, that way, you'll have no water waste.. A small setup like gold miners do with the wash plant or just use a mini sluice, I believe you would get much better results.. This would be, of coarse after your burning & grinding process... (Commented before watching the entire video)

Hello, hope you get my comment. I tried what you're saying but I ended up with my bucket or water, my pump, the pipe, the sluice box all filled with ashes. It was very hard to make do the useful from the useles. As the main source; water was all messed up. How do we avoid this? Ive got a nylon bag to catch these but I seldom think it'll prevent the water bucket used in recirculation as well from getting ashy. Id like to hear from you regarding this concern. Many thanks in advance

Hey Chief. I have a quick question for you. I think you called the solution (ap solution)in the beginning of the video. The acid that you have been using for five years. What kind of acid is it?
@omegageek642 жыл бұрын
Muriatic acid plus hydrogen peroxide is AP solution.

perhaps making a DIY Ball Mill might work better than a blender
@omegageek643 жыл бұрын
I have a ball mill I made some years ago. Yes it works well for crushing the incinerated chips, but it is slow. I can run a lot of chips through the blender much more quickly.

Can you toss in transistors for a slight increase? I know all are copper but I've seen gold and silver in some and considered just adding them all together.

That wont be a problem,just abit more work getting the copper parts out

Hi there, i really like your videos! Don't you want to first pyrolize them and then incinerate them? I've read on goldrefiningforum that if you incinerate directly, you'll loose some gold. if i remember correctly those volatile chemicals you mentioned, together with the high heat and oxygen can actually oxidize some gold that will be lost into the air
@omegageek643 жыл бұрын
I really don't believe this process is hot enough to make the gold volatile. I try to keep the temperature well below the melting point of gold. I can't see any significant amount leaving as vapor.

Nice video, really informative, re the air pressure would a fish tank airpump provide enough air?
@omegageek643 жыл бұрын
I tried that first. It didn't quite provide enough air when using larger crucibles.

after all your costs ( propane , chemicals , gloves ) , how much percentage is profit ? it don't look like it would be worth your time at all .
@omegageek643 жыл бұрын
This was one small batch for demonstration purposes. There is an economy of scale to this. The larger the batch, the more profitable it is. Plus, the chips were essentially free.

Wouldn't that be parasitic acid?
@willsmith42333 жыл бұрын
I'm still learning so I probably am wrong but parasitc acid can dissolve fine gold when extra air is added to it. I used to get told all the time by my chemistry friends lols but that (ap) soultion could potentially have gold in it who knows. A video I've never seen but I hear alot of stuff about.
@markselten49852 жыл бұрын
@@willsmith4233 even if that is the case, the waste liquids would end up in his stock pot and would cement out on the copper he would place in it and be recovered later.
