Has anyone noticed that in act 1's boss uses act 2's boss music and when you start drowning and get breath, it plays the sonic and knuckles mini boss?

Has anyone noticed that in the Hydrocity backround for act 1. On top there's a Sonic statue. When I first played this game I thought if Sonic and Knuckles had some ancient history with each other or something?

I think that, combined with the Super Sonic Mural in Hidden Palace implied Sonic's visit to Angel Island had been prophesized all along It's probable whichever race used to reside on the Island back then predated than the Knuckles' Clan.

It's called a glitch and that music appears after drowning. This and S&K were a full game then split and this what happens.

No, apparently it was an actual design mishap. It was fixed for the S&K edition however.

@@OmegaRadiostReturns i found a glitch, if you stay in the water long enough for the drowning theme to play, get out of the water and you will hear the normally unused s&k mini boss theme, for the act 1 boss

I remember renting this game at blockbuster back in the mid 90s I fell in love with this stage and the music etc. making sonic 3 one of my favorite genesis games of all time
