When i had my genesis as a kid, i never reached this zone because i never beat labyrinth zone. I remember dying trying to climb up and beat dr robotnik. When the ps3 genesis collection came out, i finally reached this zone and beat the game. I had never looked up anything on youtube, so when i got to the starlight zone i was brought to my childhood because i had the same feelings that i did when i played it as a kid. Great times! Im glad this game has aged well.

Gracias al anime isekai ojisan ( el tío de otro mundo), me acordé de está esena en un episodio le pide a una chica llamada Mabel que cante la canción ( nota si no as visto el anime está en Netflix el prota es un señor de más de 30 años que despierta del coma , por más de 20 años, este señor ,es amante a Sega, resulta que le dijo al sobrino que estuvo en un mundo de fantasía,obvio el sobrino no le creé asta que este empieza hacer magia delante el ,así que termina como You tuber haciendo director de juegos de Sega y usando sus avilidades mágicas(magia fuego viento ,agua) para entretener a su audiencia y además le muestra a su sobrina y una amiga como era su vida en ese mundo de fantasía medieval, atraves de una pantalla mágica que le muestra sus recuerdos, es un anime de comedia y muchas referencias a Sega( pequeño espoiler cuando salió del coma lo primero que pregunta si Sega lidera la industria del vídeo juego, cuando se entera que es nintendo y Sony se autolanzo un echizo para borrarse la memoria).

I love the world building in this game. The night air is cool but not cold. The lights are dazzling and the streets are empty. you feel fatigued from your journey but also feel that rush in the back of your head and the adrenaline pushing you forward. This level is taking a breath but reminding you to keep moving.

With the sonic beta it gives a explanation on that city background with sparkling zone orginally being city based and starlight zone being the next level makes alot more sense as a highway under construction leading out of the city.

Although coming to this zone was a relief after the nightmarish Labyrinth Zone Act 3, Starlight Zone is a bit of a deceptive level. It seems easy, the music is pleasant, it's not overloaded with creatures that can kill you. But, at ANY moment you could just drop to your death thousands of feet below. I mean, take those see-saw objects with the spiked balls at one end. You have to position sonic in just the right spot after you get propelled into the air by the weight of the spike landing on the opposite side of the see-saw. If you don't position yourself correctly while flying through the air, you either overshoot the other side and it's a long fall, or you land too near the middle and have to have to run to the correct end before the spiked ball lands otherwise you won't get any height when it does; so in the hurry you risk running off the edge, another long fall. And, if you miscalculated the height of your destination and were not high enough, you have to re-position yourself, in the air, so you land perfectly on the correct edge of the see-saw, where you need to be so you can get propelled once more. Meanwhile, if you're on the see-saw, you have to make sure you don't get crushed by the descending spike ball. Yes, it's nowhere near the nightmare of Labyrinth, but it can be quite tricky. I always felt a fair amount of anxiety playing this zone because of the possibility of falling into the eternal abyss below 😅

FYI blowing doesn't actually do anything other than potentially scrape away dirt or corrosion on the contacts. You'd be better off either putting some cleaning solution on a q tip and giving it a good wipe or using vinegar/baking soda to eat away any potential corrosion on the contacts.

Yeah Labyrinth zone is by far the hardest stage in the game, all i can suggest is watching a few videos, if not you can always use the cheat code to select level.

It became a cakewalk once i realized i need to get to the top to breathe and not to chase the boss. If you try to chase eggman instead of looking where you land youll end up doing too many mistakes and drown

Love hate relationship with this stage. It seems like it's going to be so chill with legendarily iconic music. But it's actually pretty sadistic to complete due to 'evil genius' level design. This stage is designed to attack Sonic's strengths and turn them against you. You first arrive and it's like "Hell yeah, going fast in style!" Then it hits you. Literally. Badniks are maliciously placed so each of your sprints WILL result in a collision if you are not careful. All you wanna do is open up the throttle and Eggman will cock block you every time you try.
