My dad one day, went outside with a tiller and tilled up our whole gargantuas yard, then we helped him rake it, sow grass seed, water it with a hose and nozzle, and it was gorgeous. That was decades ago.

I’m an old lady of 71. I LOVE playing in my yard. I have (and use) a power washer, sawzall, extension chainsaw, edger, and the usual garden tools. I would love to use that garden gizmo with all of those cool accessories! I do everything except mow, thatch and aerate.

That's clever, you use the blower to blow all the dead leaves into the grass then use a mower to mow the lawn and pick up the dead leaves that's on the grass. Never thought of that. Smart thinking 99 ☺ Great project hopefully the new owner takes care of all that hard work everyone put in. I also like the pathway with the big flagstones

Wow! Hard work and The right equipment is the key! I helped my dad sod my parents’ yard when I was in college-in 98+ degree weather. Hardest job ever, but what a payoff to see it finished! 😁

The extra large pavers are terrific. Think I'd regret taking out a lot of the established plants, unless there were real problems with them, such as obstructing sewer lines, etc. No sunken trampoline after that?? It'll likely blow away... should have filled holes and leveled first. You also need to mulch. The heat wave will be a killer.

this is so different when you are living in a country with freezing temperatures in the winter - for example for installing sprinkles we had to dig almost 1 meter into the ground to prevent pipes from freezing in winter (looot of digging :/) ...another reason to move to more warm climate :D

Interesting how another landscaper works in an unfamiliar zone. Lot's of variety in a small garden and some trees remained. Not a fan of irrigation but your plant list would be vastly different without it. Existing trees means plenty of competition for water. The design with perfect rounded shapes and the looseness of flagstone works well. Definitely overall good on the senses.

Just subscribed. We just put in a brick patio last wk. and this wk. our pergola was built and done. Next goes in a brick sidewalk the length of our house w/a arbor at one end. 3 more flower gardens are next on the list, WHEW! Just in time for fall.
