Aang was blinded by rage, Sokka was blinded by cactus juice, Toph was just...blind. Only Katara can see clearly because of so much hope. She has so much hope she made Aang tearbend~

My favorite scene from the entire series, that’s so heartbreaking seeing Aang, crying in the Avatar State. 💔🥺 That’s why Katara is my favorite Character, She feels Aang’s Pain and in the and he can’t hold his tears anymore. ☹️🥺💔🥺 16:49

This episode shows us why Katara is the "mom" of the group, she was the glue that made them survive in desert, because all the other members are unavailable: Aang was blind by the rage, Toph was helpless and feeling guilty for what happened and Sokka was in the moon.

This episode ending is one of the things in this show that will always get me. Just thinking about how Aang lost his pet and friend and how scared Appa must have been and how he was mistreated just breaks my heart.

Imagine Toph not seeing and telling twinkle toes that his best friend and companion for life was muzzled, and all the sudden this powerful person strikes fear on everyone and the voices of 100s of angry avatars come out of nowhere! Only to be calmed by Katara

Book Two is 20 chapters, just like Book One. Netflix combines two-parters into single episodes and then renumbers them. You actually crossed the halfway point of the series when you began this Chapter.
