Ill miss the triple option and Paul Johnson. Im working on creating my own playbook based out of the TO, but whatever the team does and whoever the coach is, ill support it.

Idky they been haven’t switched to a spread triple option , u can still run ur schemes while threatening the pass (plus the QB Can see the field better) play actions are actually a threat and it gets the reviewers involved 🤷🏿‍♂️no reason not too

Well they tried that with Vad Lee at qb. I would say in 2013 I believe. Because he had such a good arm. But he just didn't work out

This will be an interesting season for sure. On the one hand you've got an entirely new system that nobody has true film on, but the game ultimately comes down to having the players execute. So I'm not sure if I'd rather be Clemson and face them early and see how well they've adjusted to the new playbook with no film, or Georgia who faces them late Nov after they've got a full season of film but also a full season of practices. I think they make some noise, end up in a decent bowl in Florida somewhere and possibly come out 7-5, maybe 8-4 with a shot to make it 9 in a bowl. I think they get handled by Clemson but learn from it and give Georgia trouble for 2-3 quarters in Nov.

With this set of personnel, Geoff Collins probably will still call a few option plays, but in the context of a pro style offense rather than a straight up wishbone triple option. It won't be every play, but it's not gone, bet.

Under a coach who knows how to recruit for that specific offense sure, but the option isn't better than pro, and in a lot of cases when coaches don't recruit for their offense, it can be worse.

Watching tech football for many years in fact back to Bobby Dodd. Hope we do well but I believe we are fucked. Talent wise we are trying now to recruit with folks that we can`t recruit with and other defenses will now be able to deal better with our offense. Bet Tech scores fewer points this year than in the last decade. Going forward it will just get worse and worse.

The defense will ultimately get even better and, with patience, the offense will have a chance to attract difference-makers at more than just the running back position. Possibly even more talented players at that position, too.

@@TopBillinSports No doubt they will get better, but Johnson allowed Tech to live in an illusion for years that we were still competitive. Johnson knew we could not compete with major schools so he ran a scheme that made many of their weapons irrelevant. Now we are playing a game we can`t win. I wish it was not so but we are getting ready to get destroyed. Doesn`t matter I will still be at every game, but expect beat downs to be worse and worse.

@@tomdunkle586 tech can recruit, Look at their 2020 commits. Just about every one has offers from Tenn, Auburn, Miami, FSU, TAM, South Carolina. They wont be a BAMA, UGA or Clemson but They will be built like a mid tier SEC school and will be competitive. They are already making the other southeastern schools (ACC and SEC) have headaches already for recruiting. GOing from class rankings in the 70s, 80s and 90s to now they are in the top 15. They will be an ACC brickhouse.

You can see the same thing happen on the second play with the safety rolling to middle-field closed...Here's something I always tell people: Usually if you're the first and only person to say something, especially something like this that has 20k views, then your thoughts are probably a little off because in that many views multiple people will point something out.

My style mimics the same exact style I studied for years of playing ball and being in film sessions. Any #RealFootballHead knows this is actually the watered down version as we would go over 1 play for like 10 minutes and the shit was rewound every 3 seconds because it's not about highlights it's about how the play is derived.
