That is a lot of Morgans to keep track of. I highly recommend the storing them in Mylar 2.5x2.5 Guardhouse holders and buying the Green boxes (not the red ones) to store all your raw Morgans by date. You have a very nice collection and thank you for sharing.

Thanks. I have a big ole safe storing them currently in a hidden location bolted to the floor. But they’ll get into flips and graded at some point. Thanks for the advice!

To put things in perspective... The Redfield Hoard was LaVere Redfield's collection of 407,000 silver Morgan and Peace dollars. So everyone should be proud of what they have, even if you can count the number on 1 hand. Gotta start somewhere. Also, there is always someone with a bigger stack. So just do what you can and don't compare yourself to someone with more financial resources. What you own depends on your outlook for the future. Someone might stack 90% junk silver for the Zombie Apocalypse. Someone else might only go for high end coins over 1k each. All of that being said, I think that's the most Morgans I've ever seen on 1 table. It's just cool to look at a large stack of silver. Love all the full stack videos.

How many Morgans do you own? Never enough! I stopped counting at 450 PCGS-graded Morgans and that didn't include all the rolls of culls to VG that I use as poker chips when I play with friends (the winner gets a 1-oz silver bar). Great fun! Thank you! Yes I agree! You can never have enough Morgan’s. You m not over 1450 I think. I’ve slowed down due to costs and trying to get more interested in some other coins. Unfortunately I have expensive taste when it comes to coins 😆

@@rockysramblings I totally understand having expensive tastes--it's the only way to do things! Hey, have you tried Barber Half Dollars? I love those suckers and created a Year Set (1892-1915) in VG condition that I put in a Capital Plastics holder, framed it, and now it sits on a wall in my office. I think the whole set cost around $600-$700. Then, my fanaticism kicked in and I decided to get the Year Set, all PCGS-graded, starting in F12 and ending with a Proof-62. Walking Halves are also great. I happened to see a complete set for sell on eBay from a non-collector. It was his step father's collection. Got it for $1,500. The Key dates were all VG to Fine and were worth that amount, alone. Good luck! I love watching your videos! Cheers.

Of course I’d enjoy that too. I have multiple reasons beyond just collecting for buying these. One of which is that I simply enjoy the search. And when you do find those nice ones buried inside… it gets the heart pumping!

I just bought a silver collection from a guy with 110 Morgan’s and I’m about to purchase another collection with 62 Morgan’s. I’ve also bought several rolls since this video. @@silverking8742 variety attributions. Little differences in the coins. Sometimes it’s something like a damaged or cracked die. Sometimes the images from one side strike through to the other side. It’s can be a number of things. Some are obvious but most require some closer looking.

I’m just holding on to most of them for now. I need to go VAM searching through a lot of them. About half or more are decent but they aren’t worth sending in. Common dates and all. If they aren’t worth over $100 I usually won’t send them. The rest I’ll slowly send in here and there and get them graded and hold on to unless I need to sell them some day

I stole 350 or so Morgans from my parents and sold them for drugs to a coin shop when I was younger. I got 900 for a few cc and had a bunch of s mint and O mint coins that I would get 90-150 for each and 35 for common dates. To this day it is the Worst mistake of my life.
