Her thickness is because this performance was less than a year after she gave birth to twins (yes, mamas rule!!!) As far as vocal strength and control, if I remember correctly, when she was in Destiny's Child her dad had her and her group run on the treadmill in heels while singing!!! She knows how to train and control her instrument.

Homecoming is a concept and big event thats unique to hbcu and black culture. This entire concert was done in homage to the black experience at an hbcu which she never got to experience, so this is her homecoming
