I hate people who do that, and most of the time it's white people. When they want to visit Africa, the first and only thing they look forward to see is the wildlife, safari blah blah. I'm like that's fine but it's annoying because it makes it sound like we have nothing more to offer when actually we have the best people, cultures and vibes. Africa is not all about animals, which is why I also dislike movies like the Lion King because when people think of Africa they think of it as this exotic safari because the Lion King gave them that feeling. I remember on Twitter there was this other African lady (I think she was from Kenya) who asked when would Disney have an African princess, then this other white person responded by saying "we did something for Africans, you have the Lion King, remember?". Everyone was like "so are you trying to say we are animals?". So you're right, it's annoying. Julian exposed a much better and holistic perspective about an African country, which many people are not aware of.

Omg yes… finally someone sees it from my perspective. Every time when internationals come all they want to do is safari it’s so annoying and there is so much more to do. We not out here saying we want to see a bear or a raccoon… we want to experience the people and culture. Why don’t they have the same aspirations. This channel showed me interesting places that I have never been and I want to so kudos to Julian amazing channel.

Everybody is friendly and welcoming when one is a tourist spending money. With a 1st world passport. Things change when one wants to settle down and find work. S. Africans have killed/slaughtered foreigners ( fellow black people, too) who settled down and started businesses or looked for work there. Those people are still dead.

Hey Julian. Absolutely LOVE your vlogs! I am so happy that you had such a good time in Joburg. Cape Town is quite the contrast to Johannesburg. It feels like mini Europe mostly. It has scenic views, and amazing wineries...but you'll definitely feel the remnants of the apartheid regime. Nonetheless, South Africa as a whole has so much to offer. It's like 10 countries in 1 , so each part of our beautiful country has something unique to offer. Just travel to each part with an open mind. But cannot wait to have you back so that you can experience then rest of South Africa!
