Mamamoo is my favorite group and they are considered in the industry to be the best vocal group, because their entire focus has always been perfect vocals and the best performances. The shock will be they sing this well live, I have seen sound editors compare live performances to recorded MVs and see nearly no differences. I did see them live in LA last year and they are really that good. You got it right at the start, Mamamoo is basically their own genre or they make every genre mamamoo and they do it all, big band, jazz, retro, R&B, reggaeton, the best ballads and more. They are also the most credited group for writing lyrics, music and etc with the rapper being the most credited lyricist in korea. The started with everyone telling them they are short, not good looking dont look like typical kpop idol models and their only chance is vocals and live performances. They also worked for it, living in roach infested rooms, having to busk in the street for lack of money in their company, doing their own choreo and etc at the beginning. They one a lot of awards thouugh, in fact some of the best videos to watch are their immortal songs videos because they won the show multiple times with those covers, That Dingo Killing Voice is great. Piano man would be next for MVs, though they have 400 videos, they all have solo albums and do 25 songs a year between albums, solos, covers, OSTs and collabs. They all have youtube channels, Solar, ( the power belter) on her solarsido especially has a whole lot of covers and other content(one of the best michael jackson man in the mirror covers(she originally did this as part of a charity event, singing with MJs original backup singers and MJs original band) she also has a lot of great a capella covers. Moonbyul is the rapper though she is a singer(really they all can rap and sing), Moonbyul2da is her channel, Wheein which is also the name of her channel had the honey vocals and Hwasa with the sultry voice and her channel is also her stage name. You cant go wrong with this group, they also have Mamamoo+ which is a sub group. They were older than most idols getting started and today they are 28 to 33 years old, women singing makes a huge difference and they are even more involved in writing and producing their music and performances. Another great live performance video is from the Hwasa TV show mamamoo hit songs collection live, it is live to a live band, has the full version of 1llella, a medley of songs and ends with one of their best Ballads, paint me and is only a couple of years old. Pick anything really, live always when you find it because no one sings as well as they do live.

Mamamoo have a lot to listen to, from their group work, the unit work (Mamamoo+) and each of their individual solo work, there is a lot to hear and see. title tracks, b-sides, covers, ost's... there is almost an endless amount of stuff from them. Yes, mamamoo is the best when it comes to vocals. There is so much to see when you listen to more of their music. Even moonbyul who is the rapper has great vocals, just they were determined to be not as good as the other three and the group needed a rapper, they told her if she wanted to debute with the girls she would need to rap. Now, I don't like the fact they pretty much pushed her to learn rap and how to be labeled just as a rapper, but i like being able to have both sides since she excellent at doing both. If you ever listen to their solo songs, you definitely need to listen to hers. Edit: I forgot to add all the people they introduce in the music video are friends of the ceo of their company. Their company had like pretty much nothing in money and backing so the ceo asked his friends to come in and help give it a little but of a boost, since they are known people in the industry, especially the woman who pranked them.

hahaha thats actually dope his friends came in to help out. It felt like a fun and wholesome video. This group is so powerful. I wouldnt say this song in particular was my favorite but its a great start. Excited for more with them.

I made the comment that Mamamoo were similar to 2NE1 but I should have explained why. The similarities between the two groups are they don't give af what people think of them, they do what they want, when they want and how they want. They embody female empowerment, always sing live, have amazing stage presence and all their songs have positive and important messages. Mamamoo are widely acknowledged as the best female vocal group. They are the most credited girl group and Moonbyul the rapper is the most credited female songwriter (she writes almost all of her own rap lyrics). You started with their debut song Mr Ambiguous, which is known as Mamamoo's rnb/jazz era. For a similar 2NE1 vibe react to Hip, their biggest song and a big f u to the haters and media that try to bring them down. Mamamoo members are:- Solar (33, leader, one of the best vocalists) Moonbyul (32, rapper) Wheein (27, honey vocals) Hwasa (27, vocals, sexyness personified)

Park Bom even personally asked Wheein to collab with her on her song 4:44 although Wheein doesn't appear in the music video.
