I am suggesting you just watch this film and enjoy it but do not take it seriously, most of the facts are wrong and this film manipulates people about Hindu religion and gods and our thinking. Like just think the temple (pujari) priest doing pooja in the temple and help people in religious prayers and activities but he also has family to feed, children and wife, if people don't donate in temples how they manage money for self and maintenance of the temple. He didn't have a salary. It's just one example there are more faults from this film.

We keep the photos of our loved ones because they have actual physical form, but a murti is not a gods physical form is it , its a tool created by humans as representative of god nothing else . We keep the photos of our loved so that we don't forget them and to help us recall our memories with them, even without a photo we can remember them just like how a blind person does . But god is not human , he is a concept, he doesn't actually have a physical existence, you can keep god in your heart , you don't need a murti which isn't even actually the physical god himself. Fun fact: The god in India and in many other countries is an active participant and citizen of the said country. The most important citizens at that. Lord Rama was one of the parties in Ayodhya Mandir Land Claim case. In a nutshell Lord Rama fought his own case to reclaim his birthland in Ayodhya. The case came to close just recently.

Dear Achara and Kristen, There is truth to his argument about money and temples! And this has been going on for thousands of years. Because wealth or money is part of our hindu culture!! Unlike the churches or other religious bodies in the west or middle east, it is not considered a bad thing when a religious institution gathers money!! It's benefits are to be returned to people themselves and it hasn't affected us until the invasions happened. However, in India majority of temples are under government control after independence. other religious sites are not. SO it's not like all the money goes directly to temples in the end!! The makers themselves don't have much clue or are purposefully misrepresenting facts!!
