This movie was made on an old gujarati play, lot my family had seen the play, I didn't so this movie literally blew my mind, it was completely against our ideologies and so thoughtful and logical. This movie was not seen by a larger audience as much PK was seen, so when PK became a massive hit, I was like, didn't we already see a similar concept in Oh My God!😅 why r people so in love with pk? I guess oh my god was so mind blowing that pk didn't have that much of an effect on me. This movie put a dent in my head it was so impactful, and that was the same effect with the sequel of this movie, again the sequel was also against my ideology and it completely changed my perspective and so impactful again. the characters in the movie are based on real life characters, Mithun is playing Sri ravi shankar, gopi ma is playing Radhe Maa, siddheshwar maharj is also playing the role of a real life sadhu. kanji virudh kanji was the name of the gujarati natak Kanji is also another name for lord krishna

Religion is a tool to reach to divine. It depends on how you use it. People can use it to do damage to others, to belittle others, to feel "superior" to others. OR People can use religion to find their own answers, to do better in life, and to be at peace. Religion is just a tool and in itself is not good or bad. It is the intent of the doer or practitioner that will tell you whether the tool was used for good or bad. Similar to for example atomic energy. Whether you use it for electricity generation to make people's lives easier or you make bombs out of it is up to you. And Achara is always on point in the assessment of any topic. That one destination multiple paths theory is so accurate, hence Hinduism always had democracy and anyone can believe in any kind of God or deities, it all goes to one divine in the end. Honestly, I can't help but believe that this movie portrays Hinduism the way abrahimic religions want to see it. The whole idol worship thing. I loved this movie. It captures the essence of normal people. People always used Ideologies be it Religion or Democracy in order to bring people under single fold. Both try to put their thinking to others minds. Yes Religion was and is used for popularity and Destruction but also used to spread hope and stability in the society and the world. Similar to Democracy which is used either to Invade other countries or attack them but also giving more rights to people and making world prosperous. At the end how to use which ideology and for what purpose is decided by people who want to live in that type of future. Don't worry people are smart they will do whatever in order to be more happy and make world peaceful. Though at the end "Everything will Die". Doesn't mean people should stop living as simple as that.

As an atheist myself, you can't even paint a picture, forget making a movie on Islam. Not even the author Salman Rushdie was spared although he just wrote a book.
