@teefkay25 жыл бұрын
Siddharth Patel _”I literally sleep less...”_ worrying about the outcome, no doubt. And this (missing sleep) will hurt you. In order to study well, & especially in order to perform well on exams, you MUST get a good night’s sleep. You brain needs to be fresh in order to perform, just like an athlete’s body does. Here’s a suggestion. Frequently students get overwhelmed in the details of problems. For example, they look at each test problem as different from all the others. This just isn’t true. In a typical physics or math textbook, there might be 15 or so chapters. That means that, from a big picture, there are just 15 main ideas in the whole book. Generally there is one idea per chapter. For example, Conservation of energy, Transform of energy from one type to another, Conservation of momentum, etc. They’ll give you a short introduction at the beginning of the chapter to help you get your bearings. And then they’ll state the one, big concept of the chapter concisely. You won’t understand, at this point, what they are trying to tell you. Next, they’ll try to build the main idea with a bunch of history. All the subchapters tend to be simply variations of the one idea, but with different constraints or initial conditions. Finally, at the end of the chapter, they’ll re-state the one main idea of that chapter in a “review” paragraph. It AIN’T really all that hard. The homework (& test) problems are simply 10, 20, 30 different APPLICATIONS of this one idea. Take advantage of this. Read & re-read that intro & review paragraphs, JUST TWO PARAGRAPHS, over & over, as you try to absorb the ideas. Those paragraphs will help you keep your bearings, to see the final destination, as you muck around, lost in the forest. Try also to take a step back & see the big picture. Study the Table of Contents of your textbook. It’s one of the MOST valuable sections of the book. By itself, it is a very organized outline of your entire course. Here, without getting overwhelmed by details, you can see how the various concepts fit together, interact & depend on each other. Now, knowing that there are only 15 ideas in that 600 page textbook, it’s not so overwhelming, is it? I REALLY wish someone had explained all this to me when I was an undergrad, many, many years ago. Everything that you will be most proud of in your life will be difficult to “seemingly impossible” at first. Athletics. Personal relationships. Growing up & taking on responsibilities. Work projects. And learning difficult concepts. Keep at it. Work hard. Don’t get discouraged. Once you succeed, they’ll be your most prized possessions. Good luck on your tests. _”It ain’t how many times you get knocked down. It’s how many times you get back up.”_

Professor you are one of those legends who have created a big name in the field of education and you definitely have made Physics a subject to be loved...Be it by your way of drawing dotted lines or by explaining a very minute concept in such a detail..You have risked your life for physics but you knew that the Bob won't even touch your chin😂😂...Then too you have earned that respect from us by your great hardwork and love towards the phenomenol world of Physics...We love you LEGEND...♥️♥️ LOVE FROM INDIA🇮🇳🇮🇳

I know the history of India quite well and *I fully understand why the reservations were introduced and for very good reasons. We have a similar system in the US but less extreme because our history was different.* *In the US it is called Affirmative Action*

The thing is not about hustling, but about getting the desired education. It's rightful and we must get past these entrance techniques where a gazillion students fight so just a handful get selected

@@ricardogymfh4084 of all things they could do like giving free books and coaching and free study materials they chose to hit the innocent next gen with 50+% reservation. we need people of this gen to denounce every leader who upholds it.

Sir from my opinion this grade system is somehow fair as lower classes / supressed classes will grow gradually with time so equality will come in all classes although i am from general category 🙏
