This reign should have been ended by Chad Gable, Sheamus or upstart like Bron Brekker. IC title will loss the momentum in next few months.

if Gunther was going to lose at mania why not just give it to chad? It was an amazing match but it just feels like Gunther's 666 day title run was wasted on someone who didn't need it. sami was already a 3x intercontinental champion, he should've been going after a world title instead to make his story actually make sense (sami literally dethroned the longest reigning tag team champions just last year). Gunther's historic title reign could have been used to elevate a superstar like Chad Gable, Ilja Dragunov or Bron Breakker who haven't had any singles championships on the main roster. You could have swapped sami with Chad and had the exact same outcome. Chad was robbed out of this moment and Gunther's reign was wasted in my opinion
