I used the same analogy saying how would people react if people came up and grabbed their dogs leashes and tried to pet them without asking. People already do that with service dogs all of the time. I’m torn over this one. The King’s guard walking up and bumping the rude lady standing in his way, EPIC! I smiled too much on that one. Reading the comments about how nice the horse is, yes I agree BUT my same issue still rings true that these parents who allow kids to walk up to a strange animal and put their fingers on his mouth and nose will be the same people who want to sue should that horse bite and really hurt a child or adult in the process. I just can’t believe that people are that clueless. I’ve owned horses and I’ve ridden most of my life but when I got hurt it was 100% my fault because I allowed myself to become complacent when I should’ve known better. I love watching these videos because it’s fascinating how clueless some people are. And that guard is getting a standing ovation from little ole me in NC. 🤣🤣🤣🤣

I totally agree. I, too, was raise with horses, cattle, hogs, sheep, chickens, bulls, dogs, & cats. A animal is unpredictable no matter how much love, hope, & training you do. Visitors are allowed the privilege of watching (not interferring with) the Guards and horses carry out one of their ceremonial duties. What is required from visitors is RESPECT, in exchange for being allowed to watch.

I had a horse when I was young and kept him at a stables and the meanest horse was a Shetland pony called Hamish id regularly go home with bite marks from the wee shxt and he'd sneak up on you and was quick 😂

Tourists should not be allowed to touch the guard and horses at any time, they are working and not for public entertainment. It is disgusting to watch the way people treat these horses, and because of the crowding around the horses the guards are unable to do their job. There are the two regiments that form the Household Cavalry Mounted Regiment, The Blues and Royals and The Life Guards which confusingly together form The King’s Life Guard! The Kings Guard are the Foot Guards who guard outside Buckingham and St. James Palace.

I wouldn’t think of it as starvation for attention, some people have never seen a horse this close before and it’s novelty. Big mistake people make is that they look at horses like cows. Cows a bit slow and calm but horses have power, strength and never know how they can react.

We DO remember this. However, if you want a nice, gentle “almost” certain to not bite horse, go to a therapy horse, not a horse that’s trained for parade work. Yes some of them love people…..some don’t, and will punish idiots. They do their job, but smooching up to strangers isn’t it. If you’re scared of horses don’t approach them because even the most gentle horse can be set off by stupid squeals and jumpy movements, and approaching, then leaping away if the horse so much as looks at you, is really annoying to the horse.. if the horse evades your hand, rolls it’s eyes and throws it’s head with its ears pinned back flat, LEAVE him the HELL ALONE….just DONT keep pushing.

At 11:18 a little girl in pink and her mother show everybody watching how easy it is to be calm and respectful even when the horse nuzzles the little one. Sometimes, you have a narrow strip of pavement for pedestrians that is at the same level of the road and it is very unclear where a pedestrian can walk to be safe. Then there are thousands of side roads with no place for pedestrians at all - just a narrow lane for vehicles to drive each way with no middle white road markings and hedges scratching the sides of vehicles because roads are too narrow - 2 vehicles going in opposite directions cannot pass each other so one vehicle has to back up until it finds a driveway or crossroads to back out of the way & sit and wait - what kind of road system is that? I’ll tell you - one that leads to mega accidents in a country where drinking is the #1 sport. Here in North American cities we have Concrete SIDEWALKS where PEDESTRIANS WALK - BTW That is why it is called a “SIDEWALK” - in North America - our language makes it very clear to the pedestrian that you walk on the ALL CONCRETE PLATFORM On The SIDE OF THE ROAD. In North America, telling people to walk on the PAVEMENT would be directing them to walk on the black asphalt tar road where they would be run over by vehicles. Unfortunately, there are some cheap county gov’ts in North America who do put tar paths at the side of the road and at the same level as the road for pedestrians to walk on = more pedestrians killed there because cars/trucks/buses/ garbage trucks are the worst offenders - they all tend to drive on these pedestrian ways because it is ALL tarred with “Pavement”.

I don't understand why anyone should need to touch these horses at all. Having a picture taken doesn't require hands touching anything. Go to a stable for your holiday. It's painfully clear the animals are being subjected to undue stress because every disrespectful nitwit feels obligated to fondle the animal or pull on the reins. The rider then is obligated to stop them, startling the horse, and it shows. No one tries to fondle police dogs, yet they are both working animals in a special and specific service. It's time to put a stop to the abuse. Make the mandatory distance 5 feet, and no one is allowed to stand directly in front. I started watching London Walks because I'll never get to see anything like this in person and I was fascinated. Now, it just pisses me off to see these beautiful animals incessantly pawed by selfish people who suddenly fancy themselves the "horse whisperer".

I love this guardsmen, he has a smirk,that makes me wonder what his brain is saying. I know what mine would be thinking. Like when the lady would not get out of the way, my brain would be laughing and saying hit her again only harder.

The woman at 13.16 thinks she owns the world and is disgusted at the guard who she is in the way of whilst he is doing his job guarding the King of England . Who does own the Island and the part of the earth she is stood on.
