I feel a bit bad that she lost her toy, but I felt worse thinking the horse might swallow it! These children are almost standing under the horse's head! What is up with these parents?! I really wish people would quite rubbing their hands all over the poor horse's face and mouth! He could pick something up from them! Sadly, this has become like a sideshow! Everyone is allowed to get as close as possible, drape themselves all over these horses, and all but make out with them. I don't even know how many people, 'men' and 'women' alike, that have been kissing these horses lately! It's literally gone from bad to worse, as it's all allowed. *The horses and guards are no longer given the dignity and respect they rightly deserve.*

OMG, these parents are clueless! They put their child in danger and then laugh. Why are the tourists allowed anywhere near the horses is beyond belief. They are not horse savvy. It has to be so frustrating for the guards having to put up with so much stupidity. I hate when parents push a frightened child up closer to horse to get a picture.

If you really took notice, that horse was filled with curiosity. It wanted to touch every person that came to stand by it. It wasnt trying to bite ànyone just nibbling its lips on them. I think it mistook the little girls toy for maybe something to eat. Perhaps it was one of those toys that has a fruit fragrance to it? But i do agree that parents should be far more vigilant with their children whén they àre around these horses as they can be quite unpredictable as was witnessed. Thank goodness the horse was not in a bad mood or things may have played out differently.

I totally agree. The horse is extremly friendy and really seems to love children. He has a very soft and kind eyes and he seemed to be taking eveything in of each person. No ears back, no tossing of the head or pacing. One of my horses is the same, he doesn"t bite but likes to inspect everything on everyone 😂 I'm sure my horse would have had some of those hats off with the bobbles on them. Shame that most of the tourist kept putting their hands out like they wanted to give him a treat.

The guards follow orders, as long as people don’t get too close - as in touching - they are allowed close enough to pet the horses. I’ve seen the guards tell people to move back or move the horse back if too many people are trying to touch the horse.

And you missed a teaching opportunity with your kid. I guess it's true: the apple doesn't fall far from the tree. Frankly I was more worried that he might ingest it or get it stuck in his mouth, I was cringing, and you should have thought about that too... the horse isn't there for your entertainment; he and the guard are working but are courteous enough to tolerate your intrusion despite that, snd you should've kept your kid further away from the horse.
