In 1990 I saw Barry White at a grocery store in Sherman Oaks, CA. He was a very large man, in height and shoulder to shoulder, a big guy. No wonder his voice is so deep.

Man when you are talking Barry White its a rabbit hole. Barry was a Los Angeles gang member who after his brother was killed promised his mother to change his life and he became a r&b legend. Many, many hits man the man is a legend. This is actually the later Barry White you need to listen to his early to mid 70's stuff.
