Congratulations.....you moved to the best city in the world. I'm a local who now lives in Cozumel Mexico due to my wife being a local. I have been all over the world and on every continent except Antarctica. So welcome home. All the best for the future.

Welcome to Mzansi! I love your positive energy! Maybe, that's why we haven't had any loadshedding in almost 2 months now!😂😂 Please talk to your fellow Brits, who is trying to separate the Western Cape from the rest of South Africa. Even though he will never succeed, we are sick and tired of his nonsense.😮😮

You guys will not regret this. 🌈 friendly and beautiful city... just be warned, coming from Britain, you may feel uncomfortable with how comfortable so many people will talk disparagingly to you about peoples of other races. I'd advise you don't engage with it negatively or positively, just listen and move on & enjoy your retirement without being dragged into the it.🌷

I have friends from South Africa and they left because they said it is so dangerous there . All their relatives carry guns and have security on their homes. They said you can’t leave your car in a non secure place or it will be stripped

Not sure which part of South Africa they are from but this is far from our experience.

Adding to the inequality that most foreigners comment on when visiting Cape Town. You will sleep very comfortably (in a home that most South Africans will never be able to afford) while a mere few miles aways millions of people live in shacks with no water or electricity. Sweet dreams.

I understand this and we contribute to some charities but what else can we do?

@@OnTheRoadAgain-UKNothing really. Just follow your hearts, you are not here to solve South Africa's problems. Unhappy South Africans just like taking their frustrations out on other people, who seem to be doing well for themselves. Expect all kinds of unkind and rude remarks from some South Africans, and sometimes illegal immigrants, who pretend to be South Africans, and want to make a bad name for South Africa, because many South Africans want them out of the country. If I were you, I would focus more on showing South African places (including interesting and scenic driives), than talking about South Africa. People tend to comment on the places, instead of attacking the presenter, if the focus is on places. Fortunately, South Africa is a huge country (25th in the world), and you will never run out of places to visit and revisit.

Campton and Beverly Hills are both in Los Angeles, it depends on which side of the city you live, so stop it. They are coming back anyway.
