I really can’t understand why people throw batteries in the water. That’s horrible for underwater life and it ain’t even bulky trash, if your batteries die and there’s no trash can around, put them in your pocket, don’t throw them in the water. Shit like that pisses me off.

Ray-O-Vac batteries are really cheap so they are often included with things like cheap flashlights. They don’t last long so they go dead and get tossed quickly. I like to upgrade mine from the start so they won’t die halfway through the job you’re doing.

The item with the hole and tabs on the sides was a window pulley. It looked possibly the style of a VERY old one too. The Large U bolt strappings are used by infrastructure engineers when building for many functions. I bet the ones you found were at one point attached to the bridge or used for some securing need with the bridge legs on the water floor.

Hey! Me and my fiance are big fans of yours. If you ever happen to be by the train bridge in Oshkosh again (right behind the amphitheater) he was fishing under it and got his 2600 magnet stuck. We tried for about an hour to get it but it was no use. Not sure if the claw would help or not. If you wanted to give it a shot, it's there. If anything, you could make a magnet search and rescue video out of it lol! Even if you couldn't get it that's alright. He knows its all part of the sport and it's always bound to happen. Hi Tyler Love watching your vids and the excitement of never knowing what is coming up next . Its more exciting than pawn stars and sometimes I need a break from the ever depressing news. You should invite some elderly folks along sometimes, it'd probably be the time of their life and maybe give them a fishing lure or some keepsake to remember but dont focus too much on scrap nails and wire. Lol Also look into electrolysis for cleaning up some of your finds, its the most effortless way to clean rust and corrosion, its amazing. An old style (not smart) battery charger works best. Thanks

The piece you caught a few tosses before you caught the bent spoon is a window weight pulley. They were inset into the sides of the upper window and had a rope attached to the weight inside the wall.
