Hello. Thank you for sharing that extensive video of the city of Astoria? Do you live there? I have always wanted to know that city because it seems very calm to me. I live in Medellin, Colombia and my city is very chaotic. There are people everywhere, a lot of dirt, many cars, thousands of motorcycles and sales stands on the streets that do not allow you to walk freely. My city is modern, with Metro and streetcar systems, but I would prefer to live in a city like Astoria. I am very lonely and quiet and that is why the atmosphere of Astoria has always caught my attention because it is like me, calm and lonely. Thank you very much for letting me watch your video.

I love watching your videos. I’m hoping to see you do one in October during Halloween or before that, just to see what Oregon state looks like in the fall 🎃 . I been looking up “fall seasons in oregon state walking tour” lol

Strawberry Mittens Yes during this time of the year, the fall season really brightens my mood. I’m actually trying to create some fall photoshoots soon🍁🍂 I will definitely be praying for Oregon, the people and the community out there. I heard and seen the situation on the news. God is under control, I’m planning on moving to Oregon state next year. Not afraid of a new start in my life but I’ll be glad to move out of Chicago. God bless you too❤️🙏🏽
@tyiijack4 жыл бұрын
Strawberry Mittens I sure will love it out there. I can just picture myself in a different environment surrounded by nature, 🍁🍂🌱🌲 besides the city part since the west coast has tons of nature sight seeing. Hopefully I meet people who are trustworthy, loyalty alone the way. Thank you very much for your wishes and if you ever think it over to moving here, you have my blessings as well❤️

Thanks and great idea. I have a couple of fall videos taken last year but I do some have new ideas for this year. Also I had the chance to stay at the Lincoln Park area in Chicago during the summer a few years ago, though it was before I began making these videos. Looking back I wish I did document the trip and stayed longer, didn't even realize Magnificent Mile was like 10 minutes away.

4K Nature and City Walks I’ll be looking forward to watching your new upcoming videos. I’m glad to hear you was in Chicago these pass few years ago and the Lincoln Park area is nice. Hope next time when you do come back , you can plan to make a walking tour when you come to visited. I’ll say do the summer or fall or whenever you stop by. I’m planning on moving out there in Portland by the beginning of Spring 2021. It’s time I start fresh.🍁🍂

As a former resident I’m more interested in seeing which businesses still exist and are new tratare than the parked cars. Perhaps if you do another one you could show more of the storefronts while you are walking.

@11:27 - 11:31 ... what kind of trees are those two on the left? They’re huge!
@GH-oi2jf3 жыл бұрын
Those are just bushes. He just missed getting a shot of a cross section of a large tree at 12:05. You can just see a piece of it under the bush, and part of the shelter built to protect it from the rain.

I live here. It's a dump. But nice video stuff.
@kingcraven80563 жыл бұрын
I know what your saying but that can be said about any place. Once you have burned out the bars and coffee shops, done the history thing what are you going to do. I never get tired of the view and getting air on the bridge. I live on the peninsula and hit Warrenton all the time. Costco, Freddy's Homedepot blah blah. Astoria like any small town is great to visit for a time but once you start living there it changes. I don't mind it around here but then again I like the water. If I get bored I run up river to Portland and hang out for a few days. Now Longview is the dump.

@@kingcraven8056 I was being a bit melodramatic. I do like it here. But the increasing crime, trash, and human filth combined with the San Fran style gentrification is disturbing to put it nicely.

@@dogsavethequeen7689 I can't speak to the Day to Day living in Astoria but I have had a place in the area since the last year they were collecting a toll for the bridge. I think your talking about population growth. That I can speak too and yes it is becoming more popular. I'm waiting for total grid lock from Cannon beach to downtown. Maybe this August. It used to be off the beaten track but that track has been beaten down even during the winter. Haven't noticed that much human filth but I'll keep my eyes open.

I sort of ran away to Astoria Oregon with my pregnant girlfriend when I was a kid ( 18) back in 1978 just a few years before the enormous bumblebee plant closed down and logging was still going strong and it most definitely changed after 1980. It’s impossible to explain what Astoria was like in the 1970 s I😅rented a Furnished one bedroom apt in the brick building with the big fire escape platforms next to the liberty theatre on commercial st for 135 a month Utilities included and the studio apartments in the building with the firescape platforms were only 110 a month. Even back then, that was unbelievable for everyone who moved there Rent was literally dirt cheap back then I knew some who rented big furnished houses for less than 200 a month It was So easy to not be homeless then.
