I have known this prayer for at least 18 years. When said singly, you release 1,000 souls but now as a Chaplet, that releases 50,000 souls. Imagine how many souls will go to heaven. You may also want to say the Hail Mary in a different way, the way that has helped me. Every time I get up to walk in my apartment, walk outside to get my mail, throw out the garbage or ANYTHING that incurs walking, I pray the Hail Mary for the souls in purgatory in EXCHANGE for their prayers to help me not to fall. They can only pray for us and they need us to pray for them . They have been preventing me from falling since 2010 when I made them this promise through my promise to Our Blessed Mother. I am 75 and I've had both knees replaced since 1999 and 2000. By 2010 I had fallen at least 6 times. Thank the Lord I never hurt myself so I decided to start praying the Hail Mary in this way Our Blessed Mother knows my intentions so she has NEVER allowed me to fall. Due to her loving care, I will pray every step I take for the Holy Souls.

I love to say this prayer. So glad this prayer exist. It is sad to know people in Purgatory without someone to pray for them. I had dreams with someone walking into rough waters and even my dreams telling me to pray this by the Blessed Sacrament. I pray the person who enter rough waters is in purgatory at least and my prayers will save her and many other Holy Souls in Purgatory. As a long time Catholic, I hear that people are very willing to pray, but for various reasons are not that willing to make sacrifices. Doing this is just as important as praying. There are many ways to do this: only eating one meal a day, faithfully giving our tithe (10%) to our local Church, volunteering at a shelter or soup kitchen, visiting shut-ins and hospitalized. I found God's Blessings multiple this way.😇
