I like the touch that Wednesday is so unused to friends or having people in her life that she never even considered just asking Enid and Tyler for their help, she went straight to manipulation
@Nicamon2 жыл бұрын
I still find it a bit weird...it's not the 1st time she _just_ asks people for help...literally,apart from the dance(that was all a plan from Hand and not actually _her_ idea),EVERY SINGLE TIME she has spoken to Tyler was *just* to ask him favours.Why should it have been different this time?🤨
@ElisaH_DarklyiShine2 жыл бұрын
@@Nicamon i don't remember favors. I know the car ride which was business because she was going to pay. And asking for information but then shutting him down when he offered to go with her to the place. Was there Something else up until this point i can't recall?
@Nicamon2 жыл бұрын
@@ElisaH_DarklyiShine What I meant is that she only looks for him when she needs something,never just to hang out. So,as I said,why should this time been different?Tyler may have _thought_ they were"together"because they went together to the dance,but why would Wednesday _let_ him believe that after the dance is over instead of being like:"No. I just needed to go there to help my investigation."?Why _decieve him?_ It doesn't seem like her...she's always super-direct about what she thinks...hell...she couldn't even find a plausible excuse when Xavier caught her in his"secret place"!!:-P And now she suddenly manipulates people like this?!?

This episode made me suspect the therapist too. Between the same roses in the bedroom as she brought to Eugene’s hospital room, her taxidermy interest, and the fact that she has long blond hair like the painting of Laurel Gates in the house.
@Nicamon2 жыл бұрын
On the contrary,this ep made me PISSED that the painting has a blonde blue eyed girl as Laurel.😡💢The *moment* the Sheriff said Laurel had drowned I called bullshit and I *immediately* thought that it was '90s Wednesday and if I am right,it means they miscoloured the paint _on purpose_ just to decieve the audience and I *HATE* when they do that!!>O

I love how Wednesday is the one who's creating her own loneliness out of self-defense but it doesn't have to be that way and this session has been (so far) a journey of her seeing how she cuts everyone off who would love to help her. Self-fulfilling prophecy much?
@TomTomson812 жыл бұрын
Yes, she creates her loneliness herself, but I don't see why this should happen out of self-defense. Nothing points to it. She is just an introverted person who loves to be alone and doesn't like people very much. She is simply used to this and has not known anything else so far. She was never been different, so no reason for self-defense. People outside this bubble generally have a hard time getting through this type of person. For Wednesday, it's a completely new experience that someone is as persistent and puts in as much effort to be friends with her as Enid does. But Wednesday doesn't change that much, she just let's Enid (selected people) into her bubble.
@Nicamon2 жыл бұрын
@@TomTomson81 She for sure _is_ introversed,but I think the scorpion flashbacks proves that it's not _only_ that. I believe she has closed herself to feelings on purpose to avoid feeling sad(she said it herself:"Emotions trigger tears.")but this way she lost a big chunk of her empathy(that she used to _have_ or she wouldn't have felt sad for Nero's death).

Take a good look at te scenes from about 15:41 and notice how the photography places Wednesday precìcely between the uncoloured and colourful parts of the windows, like she is torn between feelings she doesn't want, and the comfortable lack of feelings, and when she gets out of her self pity, how the window lights her from behind like an almost angelic aura @ 15:58 where both no colour and colour are in balance with her head in the round centre..a subconscious sign that she is busy incorporating and acknowledging 'feelings' even if only very slightly, but also that she is suddenly starting to comprehend parts of what's been going on.. The symbolism in every shot is deep. This episode is crucial in the whole series. There's a bit of a switch in Wednesday. Be it very subtle.
