I'm SO glad you understood that the boss CHOSE to die for his friend, he wasn't nervous, he knew exactly to sacrifice himself, so many people just doesn't get it...
@nugget3687Күн бұрын
The moment I saw those hands I knew the fate for both of them were in the bosses hands. He could have kept paper and survive, or he could have kept scissors and sacrifice Himself But he chose the secret 3rd option, sacrifice himself AND not play the sadistic game
@KCohere33Күн бұрын
I don’t know how people don’t get that. From their dialogue, they are good friends. The younger guy had a new wife and baby. The mob guy chose to save him. Whether he did or not, I don’t know. The recruiter was batcrap crazy. But I hope he let him go.

Imo it's open to interpretation and it read to me more like the boss froze up because he couldn't make the choice to either actively sacrifice himself or kill his friend and have to live with that, and that he ultimately just passively let himself be killed to be spared from having to choose.

My reasonings for why the reccruiter was going around with the scratch coupons and bread is A) He sees these people as trash, and revels in their pain. B) He was using it as a test to see who would go for the money, and therefore be more likely to take part in the game later if offered the chance.
@mgatwood4221 сағат бұрын
My feeling is he did it to reaffirm his own negative beliefs about other people. So long as he could preserve his belief that poor people created their own situation through bad choices, he didn't have to feel any guilt over 'taking out the trash' - in his mind they deserved it for being 'greedy', which meant it was okay that he lured desperate people to murder games. He did seem to have at least some hope of being wrong though, which is why he was so angry while smashing the rejected bread and why he was happy at the end when Gi-Hun proved his integrity, even though it meant the recruiter would die.

honestly, during the second Russian Roulette I just expected until the very last moment that instead of doing the game completely straight through leading inevitably to one's death there would be a twist reveal, like the salesman with shot six showing he had actually used a trick gun or bullet and there was no danger at all, something that would also explain why Gihon just had that incredible to survive three tries-

24:25- Just so you know Omn1Media, it's only going to get worse from here on out and we haven't even gotten onto the island. You might want to have a box of tissues set up in advance as Season 2 might have the "Episode 6" effect happen on any of the episodes and it might not even happen at the "halfway point" in the show.

This season was pretty good. The plot is mostly predictable, which is a huge drawback from the first season. Also, the pacing is a little slow, like it spent the first two of seven episodes in mainland korea, and only when the third episode starts they actually start the games. However, I liked this season a lot, and the last two episodes are very emotional. The narrative doesn’t focus on Gi-Hun as much but also focuses on a few other characters in the games as well as the police officer character (similar to how in season 1 we followed a few different side narratives, such as the police officer trying to find his brother, gi hun and his friends trying to win, that gangster character and his crew, it is very similar) I also like how there are a lot of parallels between 001 in the season one games, and the 001 in this season (you’ll see what I mean)

Squid Game Season 2 is really the best of bests. I applaud director Hwang and the actors. 1. If it wasn't for the preconceptions for season 1, the level of immersion was at top peak. 2. It captures the real culture of the East and the West and its actual conditions. Rap, transgender, shamanic coin, various games, etc. 3. Lee Jung-jae, Lee Byung-hun, Gong Yoo, and all the actors... The work that makes their best acting skills have a sense of reality, a consensus in real situations, is the best. 4. The steep upward curve of fun during the first to seventh episodes is the high positive evaluation score of the screen work. 5. I am in my mid-60s. From the evening to the dawn of the next day, I watched all the episodes of Season 2, 1 through 7 non-stop. During the first season, I was amazed by the quality of the drama and its fun, but I watched it for six hours non-stop even though it was a second season. It is an outstanding pieces of work! 6. Director Hwang is an outstanding person who reads and depicts human emotions. Such is the case with all characters. For example, Hwang's idea of highlighting "the pain of a failed person," "the arrogant person," "the mother's love for children," "the possessive person's violence," and "trivial games" as world games deserves rave reviews. 7. I was lightly embarrassed by the sudden Screen out of Season 2 episode 7 that calculated Season 3, but it was understandable and I look forward to Season 3, which starts with Lee Byung-hun's luxury acting. 8. Finally, in addition, the quality of the work and the box office are consistent. In order for the box office to be successful, it should not feel boredom beyond understanding in any case. The boredom of the abbreviation in the first film, which develops after the summary of episode 1 at the beginning of season 2, is a part to be pointed out. Conclusion: I'm not a film critic. I'm just an older regular viewer. I hope Squid Game Season 2, where everyone is happy with mutual understanding, whether it's a producer or a viewer.
