Great video...recent owner of a 1600GTLE and was thinking about adding some forward pegs like I had on my Harley. After watching your video, I purchased the Ilium footrests. I def like to have the two positions like you for the forward pegs...thanks again for the video!

Nice video, well demonstrated and explained. I'd add that on the 2017 and up K1600 bikes with the OEM engine guards, the newer Ilium pegs actually mount on the top portion of bar as opposed to the portion that is parallel with the bike's longitudinal axis.

+Touring America no, once I saw the Ilium foot rest I knew I wanted them. They just look good to me.

Thanks for the video, I have been mulling over the idea of installing them on my '16 GTLE also, but replaced the OEM guards with Altrider bars, and had Russell Day Long do their magic to the seat. Because of the different bars, I'm not sure how they would be positioned in relation to your install and the RDL seat has changed the riding position so much that highway pegs may be overkill. I may still do it, but an still not convinced of their need.

Just tried these Ilium pegs (slightly different design) on crash guards for 2022 RT. Terrible!! When clamp is mounted on horizontal bar of engine crash guard, extended pegs are way too high, when clamp is moved to vertical bar of crash bar, extended pegs are angled too low. Can't get pegs set to proper angle when extended.
