Love your choices Jess. Agreed on Sherlock! Picked it up based on your recommendation earlier this year. My other favorite read of 2024 is Junkyard Joe! Amazing book with how it deals with grief and PTSD. I'm sure it'll be on your top list of 2025!

Well, the first volume of Birds of Prey is named Megadeath, which is a bonus. Plus, Barbara Gordon returns in volume 2. May need to give this a shot.

I used that same example of the Busy World of Richard Scary mixed with Dexter to describe Beneath the Trees Where Nobody Sees to my wife. She saw me reading it and asked if it was children’s book. It’s definitely not a book for kids. Also there is a hardcover available through IDWs website.

Glad to hear you loved Geiger! I reread it collected recently and think it’s some of Geoff Johns best work. Junkyard Joe is just as good. A VERY strong start for the Ghost Machine imprint!

If you loved Geiger, Junkyard Joe is even better. The only other book set in that specific universe I can think of right now is Redcoat which is a blast with fantastic art from Bryan Hitch.
