I've played piano for 57 years and guitar for 45 years. I've played world tours in times past, on multiple instruments. My goal was to play flawlessly. In this video, Ana makes it appear that one actually *CAN* play flawlessly. Never heard one single mistake, though I was not listening to criticize. I was listening to enjoy. What makes her a true master is in her ability to evoke the spirit and emotion of what the composer was intending to convey to the listener. As well as accuracy. Nothing makes a musician cringe more than hearing mistakes where accuracy is of the utmost priority. Ana is to be commended for performing one of the most soul stirring ACCURATE concerts I have ever heard. I literally put down my guitar in 2011 after evil people tried to destroy my life, and put the guitar away from me even more, after they ended my dad's life in 2014. So... 13 years of not playing... I sound like a pure amateur now, as my wife forced me to record one of my gospel originals 6 weeks ago for the family of her dear deceased friend, for them to play the video for their funeral in another country. To me, it sounded so amateurish. When I played a 6 country, Europe guitar concert tour in 2004, 17 concerts, I had practiced for 6 hours per day, playing every set through, playing the whole concert through, a total of 4 times per day, and practice sections that needed work. I went from 80% proficiency (with years of playing 3 hours per week) to 90% proficiency in the first 2 weeks. It took 5 months and 2 weeks *more* to get to 97% proficiency, and I could not pass that point. And that was the best I'd ever been in my life. That's how hard it is to try to achieve perfection. Without playing for 13 years, I'm now playing at about 70% proficiency now, like a 4th year student. Not good. What you are hearing now is someone who has achieved 99%, which is nearly impossible. Ana is among a few dozen IN THE ENTIRE WORLD who have attained to this level of playing. You're witnessing a miracle. (Edited for grammar)

Definitely one of them. There are many many more though. Things to be learned, explored, etc. Math, science, REAL world events, not the nonsense from the old school media, people's takes on every subject, from students to masters. Mastery level presentations of all kinds of subjects, and people demonstrating the other side with videos like time grabs of learning violin, etc. which are often interesting and sometimes pretty amazing. Also a lot good humor (sometimes even intelligent humor) often lacking in standard presentations, as well.

@@Debilitator47 When have you EVER seen an endeavor of man not have problems? And I disagree, the restart would turn out no differently, and something like governmental control would absolutely destroy its value. As far as I'm concerned there is something for everyone. There is absolutely no requirement for it to conform to your taste, or mine. It is as simple as a click to enter something you are interested in, and a click away to leave, if not. AND you can access anything at any time. What could be better than that? If it's not illegal or spreading hate, I say go for it. The best thing of all is it gives everyone a voice. Many are idiots (moon hoaxers, flat Earthers, etc.), I'll grant you, but giving them an outlet, meeting the above criteria, is in my opinion, not a bad thing. And for that matter, trolling some of more extreme morons, like the ones mentioned above, is a lot of fun. Some excellent humor available there, as well. The creativity is almost beyond belief, as well, again in a myriad of areas, all of them really, except maybe the flat Earthers. :-) I would rank the internet as probably the best thing that has ever happened to mankind, actually. Not perfect, not by a long shot, but all out excellent. There is even some excellent wit available in the comment sections, occasionally. Like the one I saw a while back that flat Earthers are like a pigeon that has been invited to play chess. They fly in, knock all the pieces over, crap all over the board, and then fly away, declaring themselves the winner. See?

@varalis6325
@varalis6325 2 жыл бұрын
After getting into music for a handful of years, the ability to memorize music just naturally develops. One thing that helps is not using sheet music after you learn a song. Overall it isn't like remembering all the words in a chapter of a book. After some practice and skill with a song, muscle memory leads the charge to where the music almost plays itself. Also, after diving into music for a while, your ability to recall and understand music in general goes way up, which sort of pairs with your increasing skill and familiarity with an instrument, as you will, in a way, play the music by ear, even though you already know the piece. Patterns and chunks is part of it, and that will depend on the instrument, to where something like the bow hand of a violinist benefits from getting used to the pattern of playing since there is more movement so the pattern is more defined. Something like picking strings with a guitar wouldn't be affected as much since the movement is much smaller and with less variation. There's also the mental part of patterns/chunks, as in the way your mind thinks of and understands the music. Also (again), playing more active parts/pieces helps with memorization - like if you are playing in an orchestra and you have lots of rests and may only play like three notes before going back to a rest, that becomes harder to remember. Something like a solo piece or the melody part in an ensemble would be easier to remember, which sounds counterintuitive, but all the sections string together better and the melody is more obvious - as in, playing harmonies or supporting parts wouldn't be as easy to remember as it is harder to tell how that part fits in with the whole piece as it is only one small part of the whole and doesn't carry as much recognizable melody. At least, that has been my experience. Overall, remembering music is something that stops being an issue relatively early in your musical journey and being able to play/practice for over an hour from memory is not much of an ask at all. As others have pointed out too, it is a little hard to explain to someone if they don't have a little bit of music listening/instrumentation experience.

The Bible is truth. Please read at least three books of the Bible, Genesis Mathew and one you chose yourself. As you do practice forgiveness, that’s what makes it click. Parents are easiest. They’ve loved you to some degree. It’s actually extremely important to forgive them specifically, that relationship has spiritual significance to God. Remember to break down before Jesus Christ and ask for forgiveness too. Please, it’s really important that you do these things as soon as possible. The Bible is truth; Jesus Christ is Lord

If you have new strings they are stronger, but I think this time with Anas wonderful playing and a very good uptaking sound they have been diminished.

I believe what makes Ana Vidovics Bach so capturing is her way of playing Bach. His so called unnoted notes, namely the legatos, the crescendos, or what we may call them. It is all about rythm. When it is there, or when it is not. When Ana plays Bach the rythm is her companion all the time, and so I rely on her music completely. Never will it fail. If you want to call it "pulse" instead of "rythm" it is okey with me. Pulse is nearer the heart, And heart is what it is about.

A Bachelor of Music curriculum has a 5-year Term regardless of your Major and Minor, but entrance to the College passing their respective AUDITION is a pre-requisite. That means enrolling in a college of music, one must have enough music theory and playing skills, already. During your 1st day in Theory class, the professor wont open page 1 of your DANHAUSSER anymore, probably he or she will ask the students to open it somewhere page 54 or more advance pages (I'm telling a personal experience when i took BM Composition / Voice at UP, Diliman College of Music (Philippines). Thanks.

I agree. I should also add they are helped by the fact that there are few people there. When recording a delicate instrument like the guitar with a live audience in attendance, the sound engineers have to somehow try to pick up the delicate reverbs the instrument is sending around the space, with the fact that they need to mute all the fidgeting and other noises from the audience. A compromise that is often to the detriment of the recording. Listen to the clapping.

What sets her apart is that while other fine or even excellent guitarists sound beautiful (I think Pepe Romero), she has some bite to her playing - sharp, clear notes interspersed that give the music an edge that helps reveal its definition. One of a kind. I had the great pleasure of seeing her live in a small venue, where the audience could meet after the performance and briefly say hello. I asked her what she thought of Richter. Her brother's favorite, she said (her brother plays the piano). To better define what I was trying to say above, think about Richter's playing in comparison to other great pianists. With many composers, his tone is like no other. Her tone is like no other guitarist I have ever heard.
