OMNIPOD CHANGE WITH MY TODDLER!

Had to call in the back ups for this one!
She seems to protest every single time lately, so I let her do things on her terms. Sometimes we need to get it done quickly, but then I realize everything can wait, nothing is an emergency, I just want her to be comfortable. I don’t want these site changes to be miserable for her every single time. So I let her eat the crackers, I let her start when she wants, I let her throw a tantrum, and if we have to, I call in Dad and baby brother for support!💙

The hardest part is that you know it hurts. As a parent, that's the hardest thing, something that is going to cause her pain but is necessary. Makes me genuinely sad as a parent myself

Ya know what.. I bet if you let her watch other channels of some older girl like teens or in there 20s doing there own pod changes and stuff that she might really enjoy it and see how its just no big deal and some of them even joke around when doing it and make it fun to watch! She might think doing this is fun like they make it to seem to be!! 😊😊

@@tyrashelm6014 Even if shes exploiting her or not.. Still watching other ppl have fun putting on a dexcom or not pod and not be upset about it would be extremly helpful for her! I never mentioned if putting her on social media was a great idea or not! My advice had nothing to do with that! And as for the coddling.. Almost every time she cries after a site change she gets breastfed to calm her down! How much more coddling can you get then that? That's what i wanna know! And i wont get into if i think she should be breastfed at her age or not! I'm just answerin you comment! So she gets plenty of love that you were so worried about! Now as for this Munchausen Syndrome... What your even explaining isnt even what Muchausen Syndrom is! Lol You might wanna look up the definition of that hun bc your waaay off on that accusation! I'm not any type of anything when it comes to this am i know is when i had a toddler they started to try and delay things when i had a new baby bc it extended the attention they get. She's adjusting to not being the baby anymore. Bless her!

Hi.. i am from india .. my daughter is 8 year old and just last month we get to know that she is type 1 diabetic.. our world completely changed and we cried a lot.. but now its been 1 month now... We feel confident in giving the right food to our kid and give her insulin as prescribed by our doctor.. so all the parents who is reading this ... I knw its hurts that why it happened to our kid and we alwz ask this to our god. Our kid is our precious gift from god and we will make sure that they live a happy life.. time will make us strong, knowledgeable and confident. As parents we will make sure that no matter how ups and downs we get in our life .. but for kids we always have a big smile on our face.. take care of yourself .
