Yes, it's a very difficult song to translate, it was hard to figure out the wording. I've heard lots of comments on the original saying that the translation wasn't accurate, and the translation that google translate/yandex translate provides doesn't really do the song justice. I'm lucky to have a good translator, Beck, he really helped a lot with this one

The translation is actually very good, just one point to clarify - when the singer talks about "heroes" and "plan" - that because "hero of the soviet union" was often given to the soldier posthumously therefore singer basically says that too many soldiers have been died and government is the one to blame. The late soviet songs are hard to understand, you basically need to decrypt them because censorship was still pretty much real and singers were not straightforward in their thoughts
