To keep it as close as canon, I was thinking it would play the same as it would towards the good ending. But Aubrey, Kel, and Hero were in Sunny's room instead of Basil's. Leaving Basil alone. Seeing what happens in the neutral ending if Sunny didn't intervene...it may not be too far out of the question whether or not he would have done it. His mental state was at it's lowest. It gets worse when you consider that this could be in the same timeline where Sunny defeats OMORI, is willing to tell the truth, and is on the path towards healing. Yet, in the end...tragedy struck again. His friends saved him, but he couldn't save Basil.
