It's calm and bittersweet. The moment where the game give you time to
breathe before facing the final boss of the game.
I really enjoy shading the characters here.

Crossroads has always been an immediate cry switch for me. This Scene helps cement this. Toxic positivity can truly be destructive and deteriorative, and the worst part is that you can usually tell. You know, subconsciously, that everything is in fact not fine and hasn't been fine for a while. But I'd like to think that Basil here is now realizing this fact. He wants to say and believe that everything is going to be okay, but ultimately that is something for sunny to choose. Then the part where Basil reminds sunny to trust in his friends solidifies his reconcile to their own friendship. As someone who had a traumatic childhood of losing his first best friend who moved away, then the group of friends we both made in school betraying me because of a misunderstanding. Hits so hard to my heart.

What always hits me the hardest in this scene is how you get to see a happier Basil. Up until this point, in-game, he's been so anxious, hurt, and terrified; here, we get a nice, long look at how he was in the past, with him smiling and the bags under his eyes being gone. It's such emotional whiplash right after his and Sunny's fight. And then he says the things he says and they hug and I start sniffling like a baby, lol. Glad that I came across this because your art's really pretty, and you made the scene feel so warm and cozy with the colors. I love it!

I'm so happy I found this. The "Crossroads" scene + the memory house is my favorite part of the game. Adequately named soundtrack, too, where- with the memory of a revitalized Basil there to comfort him, Sunny is left to realize he's reached rock-bottom, and he has to either carry on, or leave it all behind. I love how this scene feels like a safe little bubble, away from all of the horribleness in the game. Just for that moment, things feel okay. You really captured that perfectly. The lighting/shading is so beautiful. I love how when you had Aubrey Kel, and Hero flash up on the screen, their appropriate flowers, albeit blurry, were on the screen with them. It was also sweet how you made Sunny look a little sad until Basil turned back and decided to hug him. Bittersweet. This is so pretty... I love your art. Hope you're well.

I feel like the timing with the panning and displays of the art could be tweaked and worked on a bit, and I feel like the blurry pupils are a BIT distracting even if they are a stylistic choice! Otherwise, you did a really great job in my opinion! Ah- main thing- Your expressions could be pushed a lot more, too! I'm not really feeling anything looking at the character's faces, and I feel like their physical gestures outside of their faces need to be pushed further too. (arms, posture, what they're doing with they're hands [like fidgeting while looking away nervously with their head bent down a bit], etc.!) I would recommend trying out some different styles and forms of emphasis! Great work on this project, you did quite well despite my critiques! Oh! And exceptional job on the shading!!
