I love when people go more into depth on Hero’s side of things. Yes Sunny lost his sister, the rest of the kids lost their good friend... but Hero lost his childhood lover that ended up affecting his real dreams when growing up, he bottled up so much pain and quit cooking. it's so great. Sometime people forget how it affected Hero and in a way Kel, Aubrey was sure devasted but she at least kept a certain 'sanity' while Hero was just extremly depressed and was feeling extremly guilty about this. In a way he reacted like Sunny, shutting down and feeling only guilt about this, but he was saved by his brother. It was an extremly hard time for him and that can be traumatizing for his future relationships, especially when he'll learn/has learned the truth. He will be very protective but not give his confiance with some people by being afraid they'll maybe die (of course he'll probably overcome this and all, but this can still happen). Sunny overcomed his trauma, but Hero overcomed what he thought was true. That's a long way up..

I had to look up the lyrics, they fit so well for this song! Don't know how perfect the translation is, but it seems "ikanaide" means "don't go away." There's a lot of other parallels between the lyrics and Hero, like time moving on without him which I think fits pretty well- he wasn't able to accept Mari's death nor visit her grave, and spent a year very out of it/depressed. Side note idk why but I love sketchy styles sm, it really just amplifies the emotion sometimes :')

seeing how cute they were together, and how empty hero is always depicted after mari dies, it is so sad, the amount of suffering they all go through is heartbreaking. i feel like i shouldnt watch this because it makes me feel so so pained. omori is a great game and these animatics never stop being able to make me feel such strong emotions. this is absolutely great! i love it i really do. take care of yourselves!!!! sleep, eat and rest well. if you are suffering or in pain, remember to try find hope, especially in those who love you and never be afaid to reach out for help!!

To learn more about Hero after Mari's death, in Three days left you need to go to the church where Mari's grave is. Kel will now tell Sunny that when Mari died Hero locked himself away for a year, not taking care of himself. for himself and even vented his anger on Kel in a very heavy way, something a gentle person like Hero had never done before. However, when he saw his younger brother Kel burst into tears, Hero immediately apologized and forced himself to return to normal life so as not to worry his family. In addition, Hero also gave up his childhood dream of being a chef to study to be a doctor according to his family's wishes.
