well time to yap for a bit.. If to listen closer to the names being called, the voice is the same. "Hey, Mari, Sunny!" so it was possibly Basil calling out both of them before he saw the accident, so it's kinda saying that the first 5 pictures taken weren't possibly Basil's, OR. It was Kel/Aubrey calling them after the whole incident happened :3c

there were also some clips of Sunny's voice in ALTER (omori fight), his voice is distorted but Mari's screams are clealry heard, the whole thing is hard to hear because it's so choppy and overfilled with melancholic music.

The “Mari…Sunny” seems to be the same pitch, i think its like Sunny and Basil, so like: “Hey! Sunny, Im not done talking to you!“ *accident happens “Mari?…” (Sunny, but also can be Basil since Sunny is not very talkative) (maybe Basil) “Sunny?…” I assume that bc the “Hey” “Im not-“ sounds really low, like Mari talking. And i think Sunny was haunted by her last words that it echos in his head, causing the “Im not-“ playing twice

oh my god i just finished this game today and listening to this im lowkey so creeped out but after hearing this and also the distorted voices during omori final boss fight, i realize how good of a representation of PTSD this game is, i mean basically everything is to repress this ONE moment, this one night, and even still, it creeps up, in haunted visions, in glitched sounds, absolutely insane work of art its going to take me a while to get over it.

I feel like at 0:15 is Sunny pushing Mari down the stairs and Basil walking in to see Mari dead (Obviously). And 0:32 is either Sunny weeping at Mari's bed (like in that one photo), or the friend's reactions to seeing Mari hanging.

one time in a fede omori secrets short i made a comment about how i feel like theres still like- 20 secrets in this game that have been there the whole time this game is- fucking insane, how the hell does it keep hiding insane things in plain sight? granted its heavily distorted most of the time but- its literally right there, just chilling in the song omori is just so full of secrets and hidden crap- and this one is especially good because Numbers is the perfect song for this kind of thing 💀 god i love this game

Wow. Oh my god. Incredible find! Seriously, u/jackodotcom must be super perceptive to have found this. I should have known after the more obvious discoveries in ALTER that there'd be more secrets hidden in the soundtrack Okay, so here's my interpretations and what I hear (prepare for a whole essay): The "Hey!" and "I'm not-" sounds distinctly male to me, making me think it might be Sunny saying this, but who knows, maybe it's meant to be played at a higher pitch. The photo album captions, like you pointed out, seem to insinuate that it's Mari starting to say "I'm not finished talking!" before she gets pushed, hence the screaming. I think it playing twice is Sunny's subconscious reminding him of the exact moment he pushed her, due to Sunny's immense guilt and desire to punish himself for it. It is probably also repeated because of the distortion that comes with these repressed memories as seen in ALTER. Now, after that, there's some background noise that I think is meant to be part of the track, but after that there seems to be a droning sound that kind of sounds like yelling. Maybe it's Sunny or Basil screaming after they realized what just happened, and as with the distortion of these voices, it starts to decrease in pitch as it fades. Or maybe it's also a part of the track and I'm reading too deep into it, but it doesn't hurt to question these details. Next is the "Mari!" I think this is Sunny calling out to Mari as she's falling, because the tone of the voice feels like yelling desperately, in shock or fear for her safety. After that, there is a very faint, slightly lower pitched "Mari" in the background, that could be Sunny calling her name as he cries and tries to get her to wake up. Then the last part of this section, the "Sunny!" I think this might be Basil, but it is very high pitched, so maybe that part needs to be pitched down to make it sound more like a boy is speaking. Again, the distortion comes into play, I think. I feel like this could be Basil watching the argument and then the push, yelling out Sunny's name as Mari falls, and Sunny not noticing because he's so focused on how he just pushed his sister down the stairs. But the Truth pictures make it seem like Basil might not have made his presence known until Sunny had already dragged Mari's body upstairs and into bed. Or maybe Sunny didn't notice that Basil was there before then, I'm unsure. Then the other hidden audio, the screaming/crying (which genuinely unsettles me) sounds very much like a woman wailing to me, so maybe it's Sunny and Mari's mom breaking down after she discovers her daughter's corpse. Or maybe it's their friends, mourning Mari's "suicide" right after they heard the news. There's definitely so much more hidden in this game that we haven't discovered yet, and I'm so excited for when they are found. Man, I love this game, truly a masterpiece

I think this is very plausible but the scream seems to be intentional, both in this track and in OMORI Alter. Which would make sense as Mari very likely screamed before breaking her neck. It also doesn't discount the trauma Sunny has that has seeped its way into everything regardless of sounds that are or are not there.

This is old T T- but did anyone else know that there’s lyrics in the song? When I was listening to it on Spotify(because I listen to the soundtrack daily 🥲), lyrics were on there. When I looked at them, it was just a bunch a distorted words. It’s repeats a bunch of them too- Eins, twee, drei, veir, vijf, Sechs, seiben, acht, and negen are repeated over and over in a female voice /: It’s kinda weird that there are secret lines in this song, but weird lyrics too.
