Just got mine in white yesterday. This thing is out of control. Ive got about ten flights on now and man,…. Super impressive. It feels like a 450 or even larger. M4 max is on the wish list now😊

Did my maiden yesterday. Impressive and definitely an improvement. I need to get it dialed in as well. I've added an orientation light and some day glow to the tail. Yellow looks great but not the most visable. I'll order a red canopy and some more 750s when they are in stock

It is a awesome helicopter and a huge improvement over the V2. My only complaint and it’s not even really a complaint is that I wish it was just a little bit more powerful. I am pretty sure it’s the same motor as the V2 swinging longer mean blades makes it a little bit more struggle on the motor. But other than that it is an awesome little machine!
@markrice232 жыл бұрын
@@westhobbiesrc8051 I think it's supposed to be more powerful. It has a lower KV and it's deeper I believe. It seems about the same as my v2. Mine came with the collar on upside down and play between the motor has caused me tail issues. I think I've fixed it now so fingers crossed. Should have checked before flying but no damage so all good. I know people like John salt take the whole thing apart and practically rebuild before the maiden. I'm far too impatient for that.

How does the deadband feel? Did you notice it off center stick? Are you going to try the rates and setting recommended by Jonas and on RCG?
@westhobbiesrc80512 жыл бұрын
Yes I definitely noticed the Deadband. It’s not terrible but it is noticeable. I’ll have to look at his set up file.
@BladeScuffer2 жыл бұрын
@@westhobbiesrc8051 His setup file is good but the dead band fix is just a really simple 4 pt curve that has 2 points in the middle that basically “cut out” the deadband range. So on spektrum it would be like 0, 46, 54, 100. Where both 46 and 54 are at 50 on the horizontal axis. Don’t quote me on the 46 and 54 exactly but that’s how it works. This curve is applied to aileron and elevator.

Nice vids. As an V2 owner, is there enough difference in 'feel' to justify the purchase in your opinion? Even though the evo is larger, I was hoping for (225mm blade) purely for visibility.
@westhobbiesrc80512 жыл бұрын
110%! It is worth purchasing over the V2. For multiple reasons! Number one tell authority is an incredible difference over the two models. Number two it does fly much bigger and a lot better than the V2, it just feels more locked in and solid. My only complaint is that I feel like it should have a little bit more power! But that is not really a complaint as most people will never notice that lol can always add more pitch to help compensate a little bit of power difference. I hope they do come out with a bigger version very soon! I think that would just be perfect!

I would not be able to tell being a novice BUT did you get a issue with the governor like you mentioed might happen?
@westhobbiesrc80512 жыл бұрын
No issues whatsoever! What I think they were talking about was for Radio master. As their values are completely different from spektrum values.
@BladeScuffer2 жыл бұрын
Did you ever figure out the throttle curve stuff? I have M1 and M2 and I recently switched to TX16s from Spektrum because I fly quads and I like using one radio. I watched both of the Buddy RC videos and they give the same 60 - 65 - 85 flat curves for both OpenTX and Spektrum. I thought OpenTX uses a different scale so the curve values were different. Since OTX uses -100 to 100 and Spekrum uses 0 to 100, I thought that 85 in Spektrum is the same as +70 in OTX. Visually on the graph, if you enter 85 in both, the line on the OTX radio is higher. Also when I switch between radios with the same curve values, the head speed is obviously higher on the TX16s. I just want to know which is correct for both radios. Normally I just put what feels right for me but they say don't go higher than 85. Of course I am old and generally an idiot.
@westhobbiesrc80512 жыл бұрын
So like I said in the unboxing/radio set up video I was told to not go above 85%. Now just like you stated the values are completely different between the two radios! I personally have since gone to hundred percent flat curve in high head speed (Idle 2) and have put six flights so far at 100% on a 90° day and zero issues. And those flights were back to back no rest or cool down. I think the main thing is just the two different radio brands and people being confused by that. So I would say 100% flat curve for high head speed
@BladeScuffer2 жыл бұрын
@@westhobbiesrc8051 Thanks for the reply. I was just confused because Buddy RC put the same values in both radio setup videos. You told me what I need to know that 100% won’t hurt anything which means I can just set the curves to whatever feels right for me without worrying about blowing the ESC or something. Thanks again.
@westhobbiesrc80512 жыл бұрын
@@BladeScuffer I was super confused by it as well especially after talking with them over the weekend understanding everything that was changed on the EVO so I could inform all of you. They told me not to go above 85% because of governor overload/governor would not work. But again like you stated the values are completely different between the two transmitters. Not quite sure why they still said 85 on spektrum. I went back and looked at my M2 EXP that has over 1000 flights and I’m running 100% flat curve on Idle 2 and it’s the same ESC/FBL that’s in the M2 V2/EXP

@@westhobbiesrc8051 You guys need all that headspeed and kill your lipos... Me, I just like to fly sport/light 3D and get between 5-6 minutes to 3.70 on each cell at 50% normal and 60% idle up 1. 😉😁I don't need a second idle up mode for this flying style.

@@stot2614 don’t kill my lips at all lol 3:30 flights times and perfect!
