What other tricks do you use with arps? Do you prefer the generative version or the rhythmic one?
@ursbasteck3 жыл бұрын
Stellar stuff and beautiful examples! And yes, running arpeggiators with bernoulli gated clocks is neat :) What I've played with recently is to have two arps play the same chord but with different clocks, resulting in a, say, 3/2 polyrhythm, one arp goes up, the other does something else and then merge v/oct and gates into one oscillator. Oh, edit: The Scale/Diatonic combo is nice, hadn't realized the powerr of those modules, thanks :)
@OmriCohen-Music3 жыл бұрын
@@ursbasteck Oh nice, having two arps running together is a great idea!
@MaZe6K3 жыл бұрын
I really like to combine an arpeggiator with a regular sequencer, add both outputs together and send it through a quantiser. Then you can do things like pitch every third note up a little or create melodies around the chords. You can also go the other way and just hold one note on the areggiator and create a sequence in the sequencer, then add in additional notes to taste with keyboard/arpeggiator.

@@MaZe6K Oh yeah, nice!

Great ideas Omri! I got nice results with a poly v/oct signal running through Bogaudio Stack and a sequential switch, playing the arpeggio in a different octave when the switch changes. Especially interesting when using an irregular clock division like 3, 5 or 7 on the switch for added variation and longer cycles.

Thank you, once again, Omri - For the incredible amount of inspiration, wisdom, education, and so on. It helps me simply learn and fulfill my blossoming passion for modular synthesis, music, and creativity. This is along with ultimately helping my overall understanding of how music is made and a lot about the essence of sound engineering and music production related things. Finally, I will say that through learning modular synthesis, VCV Rack, Patch & Tweak, and your content, I have been able to manage coming up on almost a year of sobriety for the first time in my adult life, largely due to the passion I have developed for modular, the learning and personal growth that has come along with learning and succeeding at many goals I have created and accomplished through modular, and all of the above (plus all things music related, really). I apologize for the ramble, I just wanted to share a part of what this wonderful community has helped me succeed with. You deserve all of the credit you receive, and then some! Thank you, so much, brother - Along with all of those reading this who are involved in this astounding community! Much love, JF 😎🙂 🪐🌈🎹🥁🎸🎧🔊🎛🎶🎵🎚☯☮⚛🍄

The patches don't appear to be available - something downloads but it is not recognized by VCV - which isn't usually a problem because I enjoy building the patches as I watch your videos. As soon as I plug it into a mixer I get a tone and the OUT of the module is blinking rapidly yellow, which yours is obviously not doing here. So the rest of this patch is a non-starter because there's always a tone.
