The fixed rack examples were very nice and easy to understand. I liked that you also gave the chat the opportunity to come up with their own solutions. That stimulates one to really think about what is happening in the patch and how one could further influence it. I think videos like this are not just for beginners, but also for people who have been working with vcv-rack for a while. We always learn something new. Thank you very much, Omri.

I just discovered your channel and I am quite new to synthesis and modular obviously. Thanks to your streams I already made some patches I thought it'd take years to make. Thank you so much for your content. Schluck is voltage will resonate for life in my head :D This last generative patch is mind blowing!

Omri, this is a bit cheeky, but can I beg you to do another live stream at this sort of beginner level? I learned so much from this one, it's amazing. I would love for you to talk a bit more about some other topics that i keep hearing but don't really mean a lot to me, like: side-chaining, sends, what off-set means. There are loads! Pretty please? Thank SO MUCH for everything that you do.. I really must get around to joining your patreon! (I promise!)

It is DELIGHTFUL to have someone seriously concerned with how to do synths and will use both software and hardware! I have *had it* with "Fakebook" pages that claim to be one thing, but not the other thing. You need a way to learn and try gear before you buy this stuff. Otherwise you will buy things you don't need or that don't do the things you thought they would do. And your software is FREE!!

A way to illustrate what the quantiser is doing is to send an LFO into the V/Oct input of an oscillator, for an example without; then route the LFO through an attenuverter, then through the quantiser, and then into the oscillator's V/Oct.

Thanks a lot omri , i'm newcomer on your page and i have a question ? how can we do to retrigger a VCO at each impact of gate or clock? in the case of a bass line or a kick, this is very useful ? thanks again and i hope to show you one time on twitch ;)

Hi! Try using the LFO for kicks and basses. It has a reset input that will work for this. Cheers!

Maybe you already did a video on this but I am struggling to get the VCV clock synced to Ableton using Link. It works but it is far from stable (the clock in VCV is fluctuating quite a bit). Is it the best way? I also tried it with Blackhole but to me that was nothing more than.. a black hole.
@OmriCohen-Music3 жыл бұрын
Well, I never tried it with Link, but I could get it synced with the Bridge plugin. Have a look here - kzbin.info/www/bejne/hovPl3-sr6uUfKM
@SleeveZipper3 жыл бұрын
@@OmriCohen-Music Yes, I saw that video. Couldn't get the plugin in my list in Ableton so gave up on it right away. The Link module works easier I think but until now not as stable. Stable enough though. For me.
