OMSI 2 | Strathshire | Route 49 | Studio Polygon Lite

The thing that OMSI has that others do not is a proper physics engine. Add to that the fact it's probably one of the very few actual vehicle simulators out there that properly simulates electrical systems and hydraulics and that's your je ne sais quoi . And it does have proper sounds, too. Considering that this game was made by two guys on a shoestring budget is nothing short of amazing. It's unfortunate that bus sims are such a small niche that no one was interested in picking it up. The legal drama probably didn't help things either. While I haven't played OMSI nor OMSI2 in years now (I just can't handle the poor graphics and the horrid performance any more), this will forever be one of my most played and most enjoyed game of all time. I mean, shit, I spent like 300 hours just driving around the default Spandau.

I think as well due to the fact no other bus simulator caters for the UK market it's going to keep bringing us back again and again for years to come. Much like Midtown Madness 2 did.

I know what i would do in this map drive into IKEA and do my weekly furniture shopping and grab their cheap hot dogs and drink on the way out.

The reason the cab is weird is because the repaint hasn’t been updated for the new interior template

Ah I see! Well that explains that mystery. I know a few different repaints have gone wonky on me recently 😄
