It was used as a movie bus, was never fully preserved. Last I heard it was in poor condition.

Nearly all our Detroit Diesels are on long distance coaches and hooked to crash boxes. Only a small batch of city buses with Detroit 6-71s and Allison four speeds were used in the 1980s. They were sold off early due to high fuel consumption. Fuel costs a lot more in Australia than the U.S.
@alexhood94383 жыл бұрын
this sounds very much like a 71n. 92s are way more highpitched!
@AutomotiveTaurus6 жыл бұрын
I wish they had a 1987 TMC and 1990-91 TMC (6v92 powered). They also have a 1986 GMC owned. I wish the MTA had repowered our current '90s Novabus RTS with 6v92 engine, but that's for emission reduction.

csouth28 In 1981 everybody hate the RTS. They are under powered, the windows are never open a bowl and are tinted black, and the rear door for the wheelchair lift is operated manually by a driver. People love the RTS from 82, 84, and so on. But not the 1990 TMC with a series 50. Because let me tell you something that bus was slow from MTA bus they were given.

@@knucklesdafunkeeog6523 I like the same as you mentioned, I understand that 6V71 was never strong powerful on most vehicles (Except I love 6V71s on a GM Fishbowls and GM Classics), 6v71 were horrible on an RTS its why RTS was the 1st make and model to have 6V92 Engine in 1980
