What was the issues with the previous/current gen cars that prompted such a dramatic change?
@bluebird63273 жыл бұрын
Nascar probably changes cars every decade or so idk
@Buynot3 жыл бұрын
The main 2 reasons for the changes are to cut costs and to improve racing product. Fans have been complaining for years that the current gen cars produce bad racing because they're too aero sensitive and field sizes have been decreasing as a result of rising costs. Nascar is also using this new car as an excuse to modernize the cars a little bit, so now they'll be using 20 year old technology instead of 30 year old technology.

@trailingrails99533 жыл бұрын
Plate and spacer are the same thing. Tapered spacer is just thicker with a cone shaped hole that eliminates the throttle response issues they had with restrictor plates, because the cone shaped hole smooths the air out a bit as it goes through.

Are these next gen cars faster than the current cup & xfinity chassis in use ?
@jasondylan92303 жыл бұрын
Slower.
@2K-Tan3 жыл бұрын
@@jasondylan9230 Explain how it's "Slower" when they have an identical engine displacement wise to the current Gen 6?? Next Gen has better aero, sequential transmission, fully independent suspension, improved wheels and a diffuser.. How on earth could it possibly be slower?? The only way it'll be "slower" is if they mandate too much down-force on the speedways to slow the cars down, otherwise they should actually be A LOT faster, on the road courses ESPECIALLY, compared to the Gen 6 Gen 6 with a full manual transmission, truck rear suspension and very basic aero will never be as fast as the Next Gen with all the technological improvements.. Unless you're talking ONLY about top speed, in which case It'll probably be identical to the Gen 6 car, However if the only thing someone thinks matters in a race car is top speed than that's shallow minded and arrogant thinking.. The Next Gen car would OBLITERATE the Gen 6 and any previous NASCAR stock car on a road course just due to the transmission and suspension, and it's aero package would give it an edge on short tracks here like Bristol.. It's not slower, stop spreading misinformation..
