A great deal of disappointment and agony left behind by outgoing CJI on the pathetic condition of 78 lakh Eps95 pensioners case pending in SC and subjected to series of adjournment of their contempt petition. Several octogenarian pensioners left for abode due to delayed and denied justice at Apex court. Had the outgoing CJI had evinced of the plight of pensioners/ petitioners, the salvation could have been easy. Besides the arbitration/ out of court settlement efforts were not to the rescue of the pensioners' plight.

Thank you Madam. Salute to you, Sir. Rule of the law is as important to the county as defending its borders. If the rule of the law collapses in this country what are we defending? Defending the borders of a hallow-nation is worthless. Borders of a country and its rule of the law both must be defended. The Supremeg Court comes in, not to balance but to safeguard the rule of the law.

Advocates have watched the farewell of CJ Chandrachud. The majority feel that it was unnecessary & should have been MISSED to serve as lessons to his successors. They also conclude that he can be clubbed with a list of worst judges. Of late , by his unasked for explanations he has exposed his guilt. It is being alleged that he will be a candidate for president which we hope may be untrue

Yes as said by Dr Gopal we need to explore the reasons that lead a n impeccable person like justice Chandrachud, to make a judgment and have only a section of the audience in his mind while addressing on it, ignoring the public scorn that he knew would definitely come forth. As a judge his judgements were admirable. If he fails as Cj I on judicial side, we the people have to know the reasons behind, which surely would be frightening for the democracy

What expectations can one have in the present scenario in the country when nothing is happening according to the principles of democracy and constitution. After all judges are also the human beings living with their families in this atmosphere when even humanity is under threat every other day apart from threat to the constitution and to the mother (of democracy) .?

In any point of view, mixed legacy is the real legacy. You know each case has its own facts and circumstances. A judge cannot behave or act in accordance with the expectation of others. You people or any one can expect according to your whims and I fancies. But a judge cannot decide a case according to the expectation of others. The CJI demitted his office without any blemish I think. He will be remembered always as a good Chief Justice

Everyone helpless when it comes to the residuary impact of values extracted and personalised. Our judiciary is noted for its work culture painstakingly and persistently developed, going the extra mile to protected and perpetuate interests shared by B and at the cost of the very institution. If we can appreciate we be psychologically ready to do away with expectations, let alone high expectations. Unless we are pragmatically ready, we collectively run the risk of being disappointed by the performance of every Judge particularly CJ for his dominant presence. Academic presence free of the kind of prevailing narratives overshadowing merit would be impactful if it asserts its undeniable role in a healthy society.
