Puma Deviate Nitro 2 hands down my favourite plated daily trainer. Does everything and a reasonable price.

I went through 4 pairs of Cloudmonster during last winter/spring, definitely one of my favourite shoes ever. But now I’m a Superblast fan, I use them for every run, and I find them surprisingly similar

On cloudmonster are definitely my favorite sneakers so far. The other day I bought a third pair, I would disagree that they are narrow. I have rather wide feet and the sneakers are comfortable right out of the box, I mean i dont have to break them in like some other shoes (like asics superblast that i hated on my first 3 runs…but now they are fine) I use them mainly for slow long runs but they can hendle some tempo sessions also!

I love On shoes and have worn them almost exclusively for the last five years. I'd be interested to hear your thoughts on the new Cloudstratus 3 too. Paradoxically, with On, I often find that I really like a shoe but would like them to change one aspect of it, e.g. the Cloudgo is very nice, but the upper is too padded for me to consider it the perfect daily trainer.

Normally ON is over priced (very). I bought my OCM -30% discount. ((It was a very nice offer. )) Its a little bit firm (easy pace), but if you pick up the pace then it performs well! ... not least its a perfect walking/everyday shoe.

What I love about ON shoes is the "cushion to responsiveness ratio". Every other running shoe that offers the same shock absorption and stability feels awful to run to me. Like running on a 5cm foam block with zero connection to the surface.

Got 500+ km in those and the Cloudsurfer 7. And after having done Marathons in both of them, I'd recommend the Cloudsurfer over those. I feel like the Cloudsurfer is lighter, softer, more responsive (2:50/km pace no problem) your feet will feel better after a race and they're cheaper :D

I love my cloudsurfer 7,they are the most comfy shoe ever but after 60 kilometers they start doing a noise.... you have the same problem?

@@Perfumeguy only recently they started to make a "suction cup" like noise when running over perfectly smooth ground (like the tiles at the nearby train station underpass) which is probably from outsole wear. but other than that, no noises :)

I’m a fan of the On brand and have ran in the Cloudflyer for several years. I’ve just purchased a pair of CloudUltra for the trails too.

I have another On shoe (Cloudstratus) and really enjoy it for reps/intervals on road or dry smooth grass. It might come up as heavyish on the scales but doesn't feel heavy on foot at faster paces. Was going to purchase the new version of the shoe but having seen this review will consider the Cloudmonster! I am an older runner, 6'2" and 172-176 lbs so some of the very soft midsoles simply don't work. The On cushioning system gives me the fight balance between cushion and firmness. They are a bit pricey, however!

I wanted some Speed 3s but they didn’t have an all black colorway so I went with these Cloudmonsters. Mainly bc I wanted a shoe dedicated to rainy gloomy days. Especially since my Invincible 3s are white and my New Balance SC Elite v3 are white too 😂

Not for me, tryed a pair a few years ago. Keep getting stones suck in the gap. Style over substance. Speed 3 all day, every day. Working between speed 3 and novablast 3. Both are great.

Not a fan of the monster. It hammers my right ankle bone, as. The arch on my right foot is a lot flatter than my left for some reason. But I do love the Cloudstratus 2, I am on my 2nd pair. The 3 isn’t available here yet, so can’t comment on it.

They are great for the first 50 miles and then fall off a cliff and become a squishy mess until the outsole starts wearing away and upper ripping around 200 miles or so. Another fashion shoe priced like a performance shoe from On.
